What a great little unmolested Icon Classic! True German built 1966 VW Bus Westfalia SO42 interior. THE bus you want for car shows and camping. Three owners first two being father and son, and most recently owned for 21 years. Cherished and properly maintained the whole time. Tons of records dating back to the ORIGINAL bill of sale from 1966, how cool is that? Over 5K in documented maintenance this past summer alone, all slips will be included. She fires right up warm or cold, idles as she should, and goes down the road reliably for miles on end as it should. Entire front end is new and or rebuilt ($4K+). With sub par Brazilian busses out there getting this kind of money why bother when this is the real deal right here and far more investment quality than a 70's split will ever be. To top that off its a genuine So42 Westfalia. This is THE set up that just works best in these busses. Everything is there and original, and works as it should. From the curtain rods, camper lights, to the fridge tray, the pull out bed, water tank, its all there. As I mention above, this was not a stow away and ignore type of bus, the owners enjoyed thousands of miles over the years along the east coast. It was always a "good weather" camper and carefully stowed away for winters but entirely enjoyed when it made sense. The bus is rust free and solid. You can use the jack points! Floors are good and original. Some long rocker work done in the past as you can see a bit, and an amateur exterior respray in the slightly creamy/yellowish color you see. Actually gets a lot of compliments on the color and not way fa off from original. Nothing that NEEDS attention but some proper body finish-work and repaint would set this bus over the top, but she's entirely proud as is for a driver. The interior is still sporting its original factory applied L87 Pearl White paint. Weather seals should be replaced (doors windows), a DIY for anyone with limited skills, and that's pretty much all it would need to be 100%. Again, as a fair weather camper she's ready to go as is and gets all the attention anywhere it pulls up. This bus was never bought and sold over and over or abused but rather cherished by two families its entire life and never abused. This is exactly how we hope to find them. The reason for selling is because the plan was a full retromod project but after really getting familiar with the bus it was agreed not to customize something so original, and instead there is a far worse off bus for that plan. This 66 deserves to be preserved and or restored to its original factory L87.

Bus will also be listed locally an on the forums and first to strike a deal with cash in hand owns it so listing may end early. This listing is also being offered with a very reasonable reserve. The bus WILL sell inside of the next 7 days to the highest bid/offer so don't hesitate if you're interested in a killer and entirely practical family friendly classic. Please do not bid if you are not prepared to buy the bus. Collection of the bus is the buyers responsibility. Clean papers and originalbill of sale amongst other paperwork/history in hand ready to go.
