1972 Volkswagen Beetle S Code SE

Very rare 1972 S Code 15 Million Limited Special Edition/Champion. Number 932 out of 3000 made. Not a clone, all numbers match.In 1972 Volkswagen released this limited edition to commemorate the 15 million production Beetle. Also known as Baja Champion and Marathon in Europe. Mostly undisturbed, very solid with no rust in the undercarriage or floor pans. 1.6 Liter Dual Port engine, runs very good, and transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding or jumps. A few upgrades added, like electronic ignition and alternator for reliability. All lights work and has an aftermarket radio with two box speakers in the rear compartment. At one point during its life it was repainted using the original Marathon/Baja Blue Metallic, but paint is slowly showing its age and there are a couple of cracks, leading to minimal superficial rust over the trunk firewall by the wipers and rear left tail light. Front driver's seat will need re upholstery, and a new muffler. Not quite a perfect car, but a bit of TLC will bring her back her heydays. I purchased it for my girlfriend but she refuses to drive manual transmission, and I already have a '73 Bug, so cannot keep both.
