1963 VolkswagenBeetle Cabriolet. I ve bought this beautiful California car in aug 2007, as anice daily driver. This beautiful 63 convertible was restored in 2012 and all mechanical systems updated and upgraded; now in excellent working condition and ready to drop the top. My car was always maintained by the same Classic Vw mechanic until the age of 92 when he retired in march 2022 (see picture) Everything was replaced or rebuilt using as many original German parts as possible. A more powerful 1600 cc single port engine was installed by the end of 2021 upgrading the non original 1300 that came with the car, new set of pistons, head and metals were used. Transmission was also upgraded to the desirable freeway flyer for more performance. The interior seat kit was changed in 2012 to a cream and gray combination, with a sea sand german vinyl top. It has been slightly lowered due to the upgrade of the front brake system to a disk brake pair, which can be put back to stock height easily. Rear brakes were overhauled as well recently. Car was also converted to 12 volts system with alternator, a cd player with gps and 2 rear speakers were also installed. Original radio is not working. Car came from California with 58 to 61 style tailights installed and were kept as part of the retro-look. A new set of Coker whitewall tires were installed very recently and the rear ones are almost new with 90 % of its thread still there. Floors have been recently repainted with undercover protection. Engine timming was also adjusted before the sale. Heating system is connected and working for pleasant top down winter driving. Original jack and wheel tool present.Original bill of sale, its old California license plate, copy of California title, and clean Florida title, and receipts for the engine and tranny upgrade are also provided with the sale. It is what I call a good driver quality resto car, runs and drives very well, and is ready to be enjoyed. I am selling for space reasons to park it indoors properly.
