Description of 1993 Volkswagen Passat

1993 VW Corrado SLC VR6 (6 Cyl.) at: Six speed manual transmission, ABS, cruise control, alarm, power steering, power windows, power door locks, power sunroof.

Body is 100% rust free with shaved body moldings, with custommade blue-tinted side mirror glass (aspherical for blind spots)

Interior is in great shape with no fading or crackson dashpanel, headliner or anywhere.

Scirocco Mono wiper set up. Glass lenses headlights, for superiorvisibility over the OEM plastic ones.

Stock black leather seats in verygood condition, except on driver’s seat that shows the seams thread coming offfor about 3 inches. It can be re-threaded.

I bought this car in 2003 with 105K miles on it and I drove another123K in the past 20 years (a little over 6K miles per year).I have spent almost $ 9K innew parts and labor for the engine and driveline, as listed below:

Dual 272 cat cams, GIAC performance chip, polished 2.9 upper manifold, polished stainless cold air intake, thermostat housing w/ thermostat and cover, crank seal, Reman crankshaft kit, front left and right CV axles, rod bearing set, main bearing set, ARP connecting rod bolt, front and rear Neuspeed sway bars, oil cooler, which is an upgrade from Audi and it is larger than the stock VW oil cooler, just to mention a few.

It comes with an Alpine CDA-7994 stereo in great condition, replacing the old factory stereo that burned. All the necessary wiringis in place, in order to hook the stereo unit.

Known issues that should be addressed by new owner:

The air conditioner and heater are not working, due tothe removal of the cooling hoses, because of a broken sleeve on the firewall, in theengine compartment.

The passenger door handle’s (door cannot be opened from theoutside) mechanism needs to be replaced.

Passenger seat needs new pulling cable in order to foldseat.

There is a tapping noise coming from engine bay near thetiming chain cover, which might be from the timing chains.

It will need a new set of tires.

Body is tight and it runs strong for a30-year-oldcar.As expected, the paint (about 23 years old) and bodyshow theusual wear and tear, as noted in the pictures. Car is smog exempt.

The reason for selling it is because I don’t driveit anymore.

Car is being sold as is; no implied orexpressed warrantiesare offered.

Buyer is responsible for pick-up and shipping.
