Description of 1991 Volkswagen Jetta GL ecodiesel |
I have for sale a very well maintained vw jetta mk2 GL eco diesel. This makes this car a turbo diesel from the factory. They only made 750 in 91 and less than 50 in 92 which were simply leftovers. The mk3 came shortly after. As far as I know I am the 3rd owner but not positive. A family had it from new for a long time then the guy before me. then me. I have had it for about a year and planned to keep it for a long time. My uncle has the exact same car color and all. My dad had one in green. Both bought theirs brand new. My uncle still has his with almost 300k and not stopping. These motors are notorious for lasting forever. This one is no exception. Leaks nor burns any oil. Turbo is strong with no shaft play. Spools quickly and smoothly. Also this car has a true TD injection pump with the fuel enrichment valve on top. This allows you to feed more fuel for increased acceleration. Very nice and expensive option. I have it tweaked to what I think is perfect. Smokes slightly under acceleration due to this but makes is better to drive. I get 45mpg all day with this car but if you tune it down it can get more. I have done a lot to the car is just the short time I have had it. New battery and alternator. BBS wheels and brand new tires. yokohama s drive 195/45/15. I did the low profile thinking I was going to do coilovers. but its a daily car so never did. Stainless double wall exhaust tip. New smoked tail lights. Smoked side and front markers. I have smoked e code headlights and driving lights for the factory front bumper location and will sell with car if I get buy it now price. I have a matching back seat from a carat car that adds the headrests to the back seat. Nice feature. Haven't installed it. New shift boot and oem golf ball knob with shift pattern on top. New leather e brake boot. Mk3 monster mats. great. Black front and rear badges. I have black c pillar trim for inside. I was going to do black headliner. currently light gray but in tact. Seats are good. slight wear to drivers seat. Couple minor cracks on top of dash. not bad. Sunroof works fine. Cruise works. AC works. Heat works. NO power steering. Good clutch. and shifter bushings. Brakes are good. Car should pass insp. but in MD I registered it historic. Glass is good. one minor chip in windshield but its factory. so no rust around it. No rust on car. It has had some paint work. not sure why and rear passenger door has some chipping. but I have ascot gray spray paint. just never fixed it. I also have a mk2 gli rear spoiler too. but red. needs to be painted. I have a black lip spoiler on trunk now. 3m stick on. no holes. Mud flaps. Bumper clip on front drivers side is loose. not bad. but I have a new clip for it. No radio. have factory blank over hole. New speaker covers on front doors. Have ext photos here. will add int and motor. Car is clean and well maintained. I have had several diesel vws. and have a diesel pickup as well. Please ask any questions. Thanks Just remembered it has a factory tach as well from a Canadian turbo diesel. Fits and works perfect where the clock would be in a USA car. Nice feature. Also rear shocks have a spacer/helper to keep it from sagging like some mk2 do. I use the trunk so this was handy. On Nov-25-14 at 06:21:19 PST. seller added the following information: Car also has a block heater for the winter months. This will guarantee the car starts in the cold. I have never had a problem with it plugged in or not. but if I think about it and its cold I plug it in. Like I said always starts. BBS steering wheel also with operating horn button. This car may not get relisted if it doesn't sell so bid away and don't miss a great turbo diesel mk2. ThanksOn Nov-26-14 at 09:40:04 PST. seller added the following information: Just noticed today with the snow that the passenger side of the headliner is getting damp from the snow melt I assume. Looks like the drains will need cleaned. Service shops can do this. Just want to be honest with everyone. ThanksSome idiot with no transactions bought the car "now" and immediately cancelled. this is why I don't like ebay for cars sometimes. If this happens again the car will not be relisted! On Dec-04-14 at 11:43:44 PST. seller added the following information: Attention all bidders. The current winning bidder has no transactions and will not respond to my messages about this item. If the auction ends and he is nowhere to be found contact me. I am not relisting this car again. This is getting old. |
