Description of 1973 Volvo P1800ES P 1800 ES 3 door sports wagon P1800ES

In 1972 Volvo introduced their final variant of the P1800 . Two prototypes were built by Sergio Coggiola and Pietro Frua, oth were considered too futuristic. The design that was chosen was completed by then in-house Volvo designer Jan Wilsgard. This was seen as a two door station wagon featuring a frameless, ut all glass tailgate. Jan's design was very fascinating and made by combing a sporty coupe with a wagon .
This stunningly designed wagon was finished with beige paintwork ( Volvo Cascade White) matched by a tan/beige interior . The body is in amazing condition . There are no ding, ents or scratches and the paint shines like new . The chrome is in wonderful condition as well . This car has always been garaged and it shows . The interior is super clean . There are no cracks on the dashboard . The seats front and back are in perfect condition . There are no rips or tears in the headliner or door panels and the carpets are clean all the way to the trunk compartment . This P1800ES is a truly stunning example of a very exotic ca, hich was only sold for 1 year in the US . I do get a lot of compliments on this ca, henever i take it out . But the best thing about it is the way it drives .
The P1800ES is powered by Bosch fuel-injected 2 liter inline four-cylinder engine that is mated to a fun-to-drive four speed manual transmission with overdrive. This Volvo has only been driven for 102k mile, hich is nothing for this car . A Volvo P1800 with the same engine currently holds the Guiness book world record for the most miles driven with the same engine. (currently over 3 million miles and still driving strong ) My car always starts up right awa, as plenty of power and is truly fun to drive . The clutch shifts smooth and the overdrive works the way it should .
This would be a perfect car for somebody who likes driving classic car, ut needs them to be reliable for everyday driving . Volvo built their reputation on making the most reliable and safe cars out there and this one is no exception . This P1800ES would also make a perfect addition to any car collection . They just do not make 'em like this anymore . With the limited production run of only one year and the amazing condition this car is i, t should only go up in value from here on ...
I would prefer to sell this car to somebody local who could actually come out and see it . But i would also be willing to help with shipping arrangements for out of town buyers .
