Description of 1966 Volvo 1800S 1800 P1800S |
Good running car with a upgraded B20 instead of its original B18. Car starts very easy. Brakes work great. Recently spent nearly $1,000 getting this car safe to drive. Carbs have been cleaned and adjusted/tuned. Front right brake caliper replaced with new. Some dry brake hoses replaced. Ignition coil died while working on car so that's been replaced with a good used one. Coolant and engine oil has been replaced. Passengers side rear brake adjuster replaced. Interior is in good original condition besides the front seats that have been recovered. Top dash has also been recovered. Tach works but is not accurate. Speedo not working because it's missing the speedometer cable to trans. Center oil/water temp only works on the bottom (oil). Fuel and oil pressure gauges work. Have no idea if clock works. Car has a freshly restored gas tank. Floors are in good shape besides a hole on passengers side over the jack point (common problem). Drivers side floor has a thin sheet of steel over the existing floor. From underneath it looks like a few minor holes had been in the floor. No other issues with the floors. Solid trunk floor. Rear passengers side fender and door have been damage from a tractor backing into the barn that car was being stored in. I'm including a lightly used full replacement panel for rear quarter. I'm also including a good door shell to repair damaged door. I'll also include a few other misc. patch panels for other areas requiring rust repair. The paint is ok but it really needs redone. The paint has been touched up in many areas. International/foreign buyers are very welcome to bid on my car. I've shipped many cars overseas. This is a good overall car for restoration while you drive it. I have not road tested this car for more than 10 miles so I recommend trailering it. I can help load or I can get you in contact with my transport broker who is very good and fair on price. I can also deliver the car for a fee. Please call if you have questions. My number is 586.321.6572. I've also loaded 2 videos to YouTube. One shows the car running up and down my road. The other is a slideshow of 120 pictures showing the car in much more detail. I strongly recommend watching these two videos and consider them part of the description. You can search YouTube for those videos under "Nick Tarlton White 1966 Volvo 1800S Country Drive" & "Nick Tarlton White 1966 Volvo 1800S". Feel free to ask questions. Please only bid if you have the money and permission. I prefer payment cash in person but can also do PayPal, money orders, cashiers check, and bank wire transfers. The car is available most days and time to look over. I'm also open to having a hired agent come and look at the car and drive it. The car is not insured or plated so test drives will be short and only on my dirt road. Thanks and have fun bidding......a lot. |
