As a young man I ended up working at the factory in Goteborg Sweden and helped build the 1979 and 1980 240's.Chances are one in four that I set hands on this one as it set out into the world. I spent the next 35 years fixing heavy equipment. Now retired, my hobby is keeping the Volvo 240's alive. This one was obviously well cared for before it came to me. The following work was done a year ago and I have been driving it only occasionally since, Maybe 1000 miles.New brakes, timing belt, including tensioner & seals, flame trap.front and rear crankshaft seals.New taillights, front turn lens, dash cap, wipers, waterpump, tune-up,.The 3 speed transmission was removed and re-sealed.New hoses, belts, brake lines, visor clips,mudflaps..The seats were baked so I installed these blue ones from a 1989. The wiring has been upgraded, differential oil changed. The K-Jet fuel injection system was serviced. The carpet is in excellent condition, thanks to the hard floor pans. The trim is all there. Good exhaust,Kenwood stereo.Heater fan. There are a few minor dings,a rust spot at spare tire (like they all have) and a wrinkle in the sunroof, tho it does not leak. Original clock and tach work: the odometer only sometimes. All of the power windows work.Opening bid is only what I spent on parts Runs like the proverbial top.Solid as a Swedish brick..Fly to Boise, drive it anywhere.Feel free to ask questions. Will consider delivering it to you in the pacific northwest (san fran, bellingham,wa.,boise )
