Description of 1971 Volvo Other 1800E P1800 Volvo 1800 |
Volvo 1800 E- 1971. Turquois with black interior. This car is color code #104 which was not sold much. Good shape. There is some rust in the trunk, one area under the battery and one spot on the passenger side floor. Runs and brakes well. A older restoration. originally from Arizona, this car has very little rust. It has one repaint and has some bubbling behind rear wheels as can be seen in pics. The car recently got a new battery, speedometer cable, fuel sender gasket, Head recently done and front calipers a few years ago, . What does not work : the clock, (they never do..), fuel gauge and Speedometer (the trip meter and odometer do work, so I think if the speedometer were replaced, it would work, and the overdrive is not engaging, (I think it is the solenoid as it is getting power, but not clicking). The car has had 3 main modifications done to the car. 1- The Volvo Virgo turbo wheels, 2- The fuel injection has been replaced by a Weber carburetor, and 3- The stock fan has been replaced with two electric fans which are controlled from the defrost switch. The interior was redone in vinyl. the headliner is in good shape and was redone. The car has the Volvo dealer sold interior A/C unit and has been modified with the updated Sanyo compressor but I do not know if it works as I never put a fan belt on it since I have owned the car. I urge anyone interested in this car to come and inspect it or send someone to do so. Please examine pics for condition and ask questions prior to bidding on the car. Sold As is.
