Description of 1971 Volvo P1800E |
Here for sale is my 1971 Volvo P1800E. 4 cylinder fuel injected 4 speed with over drive. This Volvo has factory air. I have owned this Volvo for over 20 years I put about 3,000 miles on it. The last time is was registered was in 1998. I bought it from the second owner he had the motor and transmission completely rebuilt . This Volvo was his pride and joy but said to say he had terminal cancer and knew I really loved the car and would take care of it. This is my third P1800 that I have owned through the years and can honestly say it is the nicest rust free example I have ever seen. This does not have or has never had any rust repair of any kind. Last year I decided to put it back on the road after all these years so had it totally disassembled and repainted and that is as far as I got. So I am offering it for Sale hoping that someone who appreciates a fine example of a P1800 will give a it a good home. I have all the books and records and I also have all of the original parts that came off of this Volvo before I had it painted. Including all glass. The only thing I would consider putting back on this car that isn't new would be the mirrors as they are stainless and they cleaned up like new. I have a complete parts lists replacing everything new along with the supplier and I will give that information to the winning bidder. This P1800 would sit for a year or two at a time I would simply pull the drain plug from the fuel tank and put new fuel in it and she would start up every time and not miss a beat. The tires were new when I put them on in 1998 but they will need to be replaced due to dry rot from age. The rubber brake lines and calipers will need to be rebuilt and I would change the thermostat as it has been sitting for many years and that would make it road worthy. You will be hard pressed to find a better example of a P1800as nice as this P1800. If you have any questions please contact me buy phone as my time on the computer is limited. I will be out of townuntil Saturday the 27th of May and at that time I will take photos of the engine compartment the inner trunk and floor pans I apologize for the inconvenience but I will be able tobe reached buy phoneJimmy (813) 393-8705. If you have less than 10 Ebay transactions please contact me before bidding or your bid will be canceled. A $500.00 deposit is required at Auctions END. |
