Up for sale is an extremely nice, garage kept (until a few months ago) 1987 Volvo 240DL (244). 173k miles. I purchased from the original owner in November and have only put a few hundred miles on the car. My wife and I are expecting our second child any day now, so I have decided to part with this car. This car has been meticulously cared for, and it is obvious when looking at and driving the car. This may well be the most well documented 240 around. I have ever single repair and service record since the car was brand new. The only place that has ever serviced this car was the dealer that sold it brand new, Stillman Volvo in West Chester, PA. No expense was EVER spared and the owner never declined any work, as proven by the vast service record history. Even the smallest item was repaired or replaced as necessary. The oil was changed every 1-3k and full synthetic oil was used in recent years. A glance below the oil cap reveals an amazingly spotless engine. Some notablerepairs in recent time: New factory exhaust, new battery, fairly new shocks and struts, new blower motor, the list goes on and on. The tires, which are a matching set of Michelins, are in excellent condition. The car runs fantastic. It drives like it did in 1987. The suspension, which has been maintained very well, is like new- well, it is mostly new looking through the history. Every single service record from new is included with the car. All service and maintenance is current. The floors and rockers are solid. The paint is in good condition. I have not had a chance to fully detail it, and didn't want to. I felt this would hide any possible flaws (which are few). As far as I can tell, everything works as it should. This car is in beautiful shape for being 31+ years old. Tagged and inspected in DE until 1/2020. I have a clear title in my name. Don't miss your opportunity to own a well cared for Volvo. This is one super nice 240! With all of this being said, the car is nearly 32 years old. Anything is possible with a used car or even a new car. Expect signs of use, wear and tear, chips, scratches, etc. here and there. If you are expecting a brand new Volvo, a 32 year old car may not be the best option. If you are looking for a really nice older Volvo that has been well cared for, this car may be for you. I am selling it as is. No warranty, no returns, no refunds for any reason whatsoever. Once you purchase this car, I suggest that you immediately insure it, as it becomes your responsibility at that moment. I suggest an antique auto policy, such as JC Taylor, etc. A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due immediately upon purchase, full payment expected within 3 days, and pick up within 10 days. Full payment must be made with cash. Any other method MUST be agreed to by both the seller and buyer BEFORE purchase. As long as you communicate with me, I can work with you and be flexible. If no communication, we will report you to eBay, and will legally file to recover our lost fees and deposit. The deposit covers expenses such as paperwork, eBayfees, time, etc. I will be happy to work with your shipper if necessary. Any questions, please don't hesitateto ask. I will do my best to answer. The car is located in Newark, Delaware (USA) 19702. Thank you for looking!
