Description of 1973 Volvo 1800 1800ES |
I purchased this excellent Volvo 1800ES to restore but have two cars ahead of it and will not get to it. The car is an excellent restoration candidate which is the reason I purchased it. I believe any issues can be seen and that there are no surprises as can be the case with a fully restored car. The car is all steel with no bondo and appears to have been painted once the original color of #107 Sun Yellow. The original black interior is in very good condition but the front seat leather is worn. The dashboard has a crack but a new formed cover is included. The dark brown carpet shows very little wear and would benefit from new dye. Also included are all original keys. The four cylinder fuel injected engine has not run in about eight years. It is complete and clean and should take minimal effort to get it running. The chrome bumpers, trim and wheel beauty rings are in good condition as well as the grille, grille surround and taillights and glass. If you are familiar with these cars, they typically rust badly but this original Southwest body shows minimal rust in the rocker panels and lower front and rear fenders. The floorboards and rear bed floor are solid with the exception of a small area of the front passenger floor near the door. Photos show the areas with rust. The photos with the exception of the second and the last are those provided to me prior to my purchase and the car remains in the same complete condition. The Chassis shows only surface dirt...no rust in typical areas such as the jacking points. The tires are fairly new. The car has always been in the Oklahoma City area until recently when I brought it to the Branson, Missouri area. The Clean Oklahoma Title has not yet been transferred but you will receive a Clean Missouri Title at time of sale. |
