Description of 1946 Jeep Other CJ2A |
1946 WILLYS VEC CJ2A, ERIAL NUMBER CJ2A-27291, RESSED TO PLAY WWII GAMES (IT IS NOT A WWII JEEP)....it is an early JC2A that was a column shift and was changed to a floor shift. The dash tag CJ2A-27291 matches the body tag number CJ2A-27291. VEC stands for "very early civilian". I sent to a shop in Texas for most of these updates, he previous owner had rebuilt the engine, ut did not resize the rods and it spun a rod bearing, o, he shop rebuilt the bottom of the engine with all new rod and main bearings, urned the crank shaft, esized the rods, ow it idles and runs smooth and holds 30+ psi oil pressure at warm idle, umps to 40+ on acceleration. Does not smoke, r drip oil anywhere. Shifts in all gears and all gears work good. The front floors and tool box bottom were repaired with new steel, he rust thru was not cut out, o underside looks rough. Five months and $3500 later, t still needs some attention with exhaust (has exhaust leak), rakes need attention (low and hard pedal, ut still stops) my brother said he was there when they put all new brakes on front axle, as and amp gauge does not work. When all is said and done, t is a peppy 69 year old jeep that rides rough, attles, angs and grinds with a good Oklahoma title in my name and almost new NDT military tires on the ground and ready to play while looking good doing it. No warranty expressed or implied, fter all it is 69 years old, lmost as old as I am and I don't have any warranty. I try to describe everything, ood and bad the best I can, 'm not perfect andnetheris it. I will answer all the questions the best I can. Delivery can be arranged, mail for a quote. International shipping can be arranged with Mardy, I have used her for shipping these old jeeps for almost 20 years with no problems) check with her at: mardy@horizonautoshipping.comDelivery to her warehouse in Houston will cost $500.
