You are looking at a 1928 Willys Whippet Cabriolet Model 96 Coupe
This car is certainly a survivor with most of the original parts and pieces well in tact, and yes the car does start, un and drive. The engine is the 134 cu in four cylinder model hooked up to the original thee-speed manual transmission. The overall car is in good condition, onsidering its age. It is not in show winning condition, ut could certainly pass for a 'driver'. There is some paint missing on the drivers side running board, ertainly an easy project without having to re-paint the whole car. The tires are good and the original wooden spoke wheels are in good shape. The bumpers, eadights and radiator grille are all in very nice condition.
The interior is in good shape with some recent re-upholstery work completed. There are two kinds of potential buyers for this vehicle..... The first is someone that would like to tinker with what's there and use the car pretty much as it is. The second potential buyer is someone looking for a good candidate to do a total restoration of this fine antique vehicle. The overall car could use a good cleaning from top to bottom and a little paint here and there on the chassis and other under hood components. The convertible top works but the canvas is tattered in places and may need to be replaced depending on the new owners needs. Feel free to call Russell with any more questions concerning this fine antique. Qu e s t i o n s ? C o n t a c t R u s s t h r u e B a y m e s s a g i n g
