Description of 1946 Willys

For sale is a 1946 Willys CJ2A very early production, commonly referred to as a VEC. The serial number is located on the frame horn under some paint, but I know its before #29500 as it still has side tool indents. These early CJ's utilized leftover parts from the war effort. Some of the most valuable parts on this Jeep are the 3 "solid rims" you can see pictured. Solid rims are the most rare rims to find of all Willys Jeeps.
This Jeep was purchased new by the family I bought it from. The grandparents growing up used this and a GPW to run around over 1000 acres of farmland as it was marked towards. You can see the last Ohio license plate hangs on the front bumper from 1959. Weather has taken its toll on the now rusty body and seized mechanics. At one point in its life, the engine was upgraded to the F-head. It still has the column shifter with the war-style spoke steering wheel. A solid draw bar hitch sits at the rear of the frame. The frame itself is solid in some places, but would need attention at the leaf spring mounts.
The solid rims are very hard to find. Two of them appear to be in great shape and painted white. The third one has not been repainted and has surface rust, but still looks to be inusablecondition. Finding 3 original solid rims on this Jeep was lucky. Alone they are selling for hundreds of dollars. I'm leaving them on the Jeep as someone who needs the rims might also need othermiscellaneous VECparts.
It is a true farm find. I have no title for this, and the family couldn't remember if they ever had one or not. This is better suited as a parts Jeep than a restoration. It rolls and we have the equipment to load the Jeep right on your trailer. Buyer may purchase via PayPal or cash upon pickup. If paying through PayPal, buyer is responsible for all transaction fees. Thanks for looking.
