Description of 1934 Willys 77 |
1934 WILLYS DRAG RACE, PRO-STREET, STREET ROD!!! Just finished! I took a former full out 34 Willys race car and converted it into a Drag Racing, Pro Street, Street Rod of the wildest sort. It is built on a mild steel double tube frame, with a 1934 Willys Coupe Race Body by Superior Glass Works in Molalla, OR The engine is a freshly built mild street SBC 4-Bolt Main 350 .060 over, with an air gap intake, Bigs Performance 750 stage 5 Carb., MSD 7AL Box, RPM-Activated Switch, RPM Module Selector and a 2-Step Box. Lock out MSD Distributor Custom Headers with dual side exhaust. Electric water pump, Aluminum Radiator. Balancer is SFI PP90000 internal balance Flex Plate SFI PI0871001 internal balance All connected to a new Coan Engineering SFI Cased Pro-Gluide with a 1.73 1st gear and Trans Brake. Coan 4000 Stall 9” Race Series Conveter w/Ballon Plates. Rear Diff is a 5 Link Ford 9” with 4.70 & Spool. I have not had the rear diff apart to verify axle splines. Willwood Disc Brake all around. Struts on Front suspension, Coil Over Shocks on rear. I installed Headlights, Directional’s, Brake Lights, Power Window. I installed Glass Windows & Windshield all around. I had problems with door glass and installed Lexan Windows on both doors only. I also installed Hoosier Street Radials all around. Slicks that came with the car are in storage. The car weighs aprox #1930 without driver. I made 2 pass’s with the car to try it out. With tires spinning through 60’ 12.70 @ 120 mph. The body was painted in LEXUS Blue Pearl. It turns heads where ever your are with it. For prolonged street driving I would up grade the radiator to a larger one. There is plenty of room for a larger radiator. For drag racing it is totally fine! This is a pro built race car! Chassis should Certify! Asking price for this one of a kind Street Rod is $45,000 Please call Ron at 603-731-3155 |
