Description of 1955 Willys CJ5 |
Finished this project in June of 2016. Runs great. All new parts & frame up restoration. So far have put about 800 miles on the car since finished. Original frame & body. Has tags with original VIN.Almost everything on the jeep is new or restored. Some things were not kept original.Dual Master Cylinder Upgrade. New wiring harness. Zero Rust. New Leaf Springs, new shocks, new fuel tank, and the list goes on. Frame was cleared of all surface rust and painted in POR-15. It should never rust. The body was painted with POR-15 as well and then painted with Monstaliner. It is a bed liner paint. Definitely not a showroom paint job, but I think it looks great, and a lot of people like the look as well. Original rims were sandblasted & powder coated. Also has custom speedhut oil pressure, volts, and RPM gauges. Steering has been completely rebuilt with all new components to factory condition. I am selling because I started school in the fall, and need the money to help pay for tuition bills. Thanks for looking! Any questions just ask. On Feb-13-17 at 20:51:44 PST, seller added the following information: The engine was in great working condition when I first bought the jeep. There has been no engine work done other than resealing the rocker arm gasket. There is a new fuel pump, oil pump, fuel lines, radiator hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, belts, and electrical wiring. Drive shafts were similar in that they were cleaned off and replace with new bolts. The car did not have windshield wipers when I purchased, and saw that as a finishing touch. My main goal was to get it back on the road in driving condition, and never thought I would be driving in the rain, so didn't bother with purchasing wipers. Attaching more pictures, as many have requested.
