After WW2, Willys-Overland found itself in a unique position as one of the few producers of 4WD vehicles, unfortunately, few people wanted a tough utility vehicle, so plans were made to make a larger, open top pseudo SUV. The new model was called the Jeepster and it featured unique styling and high featured content, but was a killed in the sales race by competitors. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning 1950 Jeepster for your consideration. This lovely... little Willys is finished in a charming red color and the vehicle was treated to a comprehensive restoration during the current owners 13yr ownership. The Jeepster has an excellent body, with great chrome trim, color matched hubcaps, brand new whitewall tires, continental kit, and a brand new convertible top. The interior is wonderful as well, with everything having been replaced or rebuilt during the restoration. Everything is put together well and shows very well. The little 2.2L 4 cylinder engine was fully rebuilt in 2008 and it runs like a champ. The Jeepster also features a brand new fuel pump. An excellent driving car, it goes down the road very well and gets admiring looks wherever it goes. Just 5,836 Jeepsters were built for 1950, making this a rare and sought after part of Jeep legacy.
