Description of 1941 Willys 441

This 1941 Willys Coup is the veritable definition of overkill. The compact body has been stuffed with a blown 454, a snug-fitting customer interior, and an outrageous electric blue paintjob with ghost flames. If you're out to get noticed, this is definitely the right car for you. The electric blue paint is amazing and the ghost flames were done exactly right- visible but subtle. Shaved door handles, trick side mirrors, and simple round taillights are the kinds of little details that add up to a big effect on the overall look. It's easy why these are so popular.
A tilt column with a leather-wrapped billet wheel is a big improvement over the original Willys bus-style steering gear, and the dash carries a full array of easy-to-read gauges. Cool eyeball vents manage the airflow from the Vintage Air A/C system, whose controls are just above the AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the custom center console. A B&M shifter manages the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, and you will also note the spears are neatly installed on the sides of the console. The trunk has been upholstered in black carpet with neat bindings on the edges and embroidered "Willys" script on the bulkhead. Despite the massive wheel tubs, there's actually a decent amount of storage in there if you would care to take a long trip in this slick coup.
Under the hood is a blown 454. The B&M 6-71 supercharger inhales through a pair of 750 CFM carbs and delivers RIGHT NOW throttle response that will take some getting used to out on the street. Seriously, this thing makes full boost before you can get your foot on the floor, so make sure its pointed where you want it to go before you stomp on the loud pedal. It's also beautiful to look at, with lots of chrome and polished aluminum plus a compact accessory drive system that puts all the components in exactly the right place for the Willys engine bay. The A/C uses R134A refrigerant, so its easy to service, and the big radiator up front means you don't have to worry about using it to stay cool. The aforementioned TH350 transmission has obviously been heavily reinforced and spins a narrowed 9-inch rear hanging on a 4-link setup. Twin Flowmasters provide an awesome soundtrack, and the traditional big-n-little tire combination is provided by 215/40/17 font and 345/55/17 rear BFGoodrich radials. Car has been kept in a heated and cooled garage. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me with them. Thanks for your time and looking at this auction.
