Description of 1933 Willys Model 77

1933 Willys Coupe, this may look like a street rod but it is all race car. A proven west coast nostalgia drag car that has been rebuilt into a show quality race car. The car has run 9.0 quarter mile times and only a few times since the redo, it is in excellent condition for any car, especially a race car. It is powered by a tall deck B.B. Chevy, powerglide with a 6200 stall converter and Dana 60 with 4:56 gears, Mark Williams axles and spool. It has a funny car cage and was built with safety in mind and will accommodate a large driver. The motor makes 743 H.P., the car weighs 2258#s, there are no power adders and no electronics other than ignition, rev limiter, pro brake and shifter trigger. The engineering and build quality is outstanding, excellent planning, fitment and beautiful welds. The list of parts, engineering, setup, and documentation fills a large binder. The paint is what I would call a candy root beer or maybe maroon and better quality than most street rods. One of the highlights of this car is that it has retained its stock body proportions, it looks like a stock Willys coupe, not squashed and stretched like a pro mod. It retains chrome door hinges, door handles, and the beloved spare tire bump, although under the chute. It has many items for a car to be considered street legal and I found a record of it running in a street rod class. This is a RodCraft brand fiberglass body, a purpose built race car and has never been registered or titled. It was 8.50 certified until late 2016, The safety equipment has been re-certified, harness, window net, not sure on the chute, the chassis will need to be re-certified if you want to run at a NHRA track. I bought this to possibly use on the street and strip but found a car already set up for both. The car was appraised and insured by Hagerty for 110k by the last two owners. I believe any question you possibly have can be answered by the build book. I would be willing to cooperate with shipping it anywhere if the buyer makes any and all arrangements. Please understand this is a difficult car to move when not under power, a specialty carrier would have to handle it. Payment must clear bank before the car ships, will store for a reasonable amount of time. Serious buyers feel free to call me, Jeff 314 853 3385. Thanks for looking!
