OFFERED IS A 1938 WILLYS TWO DOOR SEDAN WHICH HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO A 1941 SEDAN DELIVERY. THE CAR IS THE FIRST WILLYS CONVERSION EVER ATTEMPTED. IT WASBUILT BY JIM ROTH OF LYONS, ILL IN 1980.I SAW THE TRUCK AT THE FIRST STREET ROD NATIONALS IN MEMPHIS IN 1980.I TRIED TO BUY IT BUT IT WASN'T FOR SALE.I LATER PURCHASED THE TRUCK FROM MR. ROTH'S SON, AFTER MR' ROTH'S DEATH IN 2013. AFTER PURCHASING THE WILLYS, I INSTALLED A MUSTANG II FRONT EN, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, CHEVY 10 BOLT TRUCK REAR END AND A NEW TANK. THE FRAME HAS BEEN BOXED. THE TRUCK WAS FEATURED IN TWO HOT ROD MAGAZINES IN THE 80'S: 1001 CUSTOM RODS AND IDEAS DATED 1981 AND POPULAR HOT RODDING, NOV. 1980. WHY BUY A PLASTIC WILLYS WHEN YOU CAN OWN A RARE STEEL HISTORY PIECE FOR MUCH LESS MONEY. CONTACT CHUCK @ 901-496-4386. I am not 100% sure, but i would estimate they there are less than 25 Willys Sedan Deliveries, with a true rear access door, in existence. Again, this the first one ever converted. Most that you see have only had the rear windows filled in and the original trunk lid still present.
