With a terrific period-correct presentation (right down to the hardy Jeep motor,) and a cool convertible attitude, this a truly unique classic. Nassau Cream is one of those perfect 1950s colors that looks like it belongs on icons like a Thunderbird or DeVille, and so it adds some perfect elegance to this convertible Willys. And when you're looking over a Jeepster, it's the details that are always important. So take note of the correct bumpers, hubcaps, taillights, and all of the other small items that look great and provide true value to this very complete Jeepster. One piece we particularly like the use of is the trim line that encircles everything from the windshield to the rear panel. It provides a divider for the black upper section, and that coordinates nicely with the newer black folding roof. If you like the way the black top looks against the yellow paint, then you'll be quite happy with the black interior, too. The carpeting, door panels, and durable black vinyl seats are a nice vintage package. Jeepsters are easy to maintain, but need to the right details inside. For example, it received the Willys standard gauge cluster. The large speedometer with full gauges below it, and all set in a bright inlay. That's a great '50s touch. And that classic steering wheel will fill you with true vintage charm every time you grab it. With a vehicle that has looked so authentic thus far, it's great to have such an authentic-looking engine bay. In fact, the 134 cubic-inch Hurricane motor is believed to be original to the vehicle. This is closely related to the famous Go Devil engine that was used in the first military Jeeps, and so it's as reliable as an American soldier. The motor is not an all-out speed demon, but the same torque that made the Jeeps great in the mud is the same that will get this Jeepster off the line nicely. Plus, you have full control over it all thanks to the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. This Jeepster is a great bit of history finished in a head-turning package. So if you like your classics to be truly distinct, call today! More description While you might think the crossover segment is a new thing, this 1951 Willys Jeepster begs to differ.
