Description of 1950 Willys |
I had been looking for a Willys CJ2A or CJ3A for a couple of years without finding anything decent for a reasonable price. I finally located this 1950 CJ3A with a CJ3B body on it. I purchased it with the intention of removing the B body and putting an A body back on it. As luck would have it, a short time after buying it, I located a 1951 Willys M38 for a reasonable price and bought it. I am now putting the B up for sale. This Willys has a rebuilt 305 Chevrolet V8, rebuilt T90 3 speed and a rebuilt Spicer Super 18 transfer case. The axles are Dana 25 front and Dana 41 rear with 5.38 gears. The rear axle has a Lock Right Powertrax auto positive locking differential unit installed. It has power steering and power drum brakes with new 31 x 10.5 x 15 Westlake radial SL369 A/T tires and new rims. There is a Ramsey 8000 lb winch mounted up front, but it is not currently wired up. The rear bumper is also an air tank. It comes with a full top in fair condition and also a bimini top. The driver side door and side window have cracks in the plastic as seen in the pictures. The only rust that I could find is a small amount in the 2 forward body mounts. I have not removed the diamond plate to look under it. The front driving lights are not currently wired. The Jeep has a working original Harrison heater. I will be listing the Willys locally and the auction can end at any time if it should sell before a bid comes in. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can store the Jeep for a short time after purchase to allow for shipping or pickup schedules.
