Description of 1965 Austin Healey Sprite

This is a very rare Italian version of the Austin Healey Sprite designed by the legendary car designer Tom Tjaarda.  Austin sent Sprite chassis with drivetrains to Italy where Innocenti put their own wiring. body and interiors on them just like they did with the Mini. The original drivetrain to these cars is the BMC A-Series engine. transmission. and rear end from the Sprite/Midget. The front suspension is also the same as the Sprite/Midget. Basically under the italian body it is a Sprite. The Innocenit version was much more expensive and had a lot more luxury items than the  Sprite. An entire running engine can be had from companies such as Mini Mania. I bought this car with the body already restored and started putting it back together but have run out of room. The front turn signal lenses and fuse box are NOS parts. The tires and headlamp assemblies are new. the wheels are restored but this car would look great with a new set of Panasports. The windscreen is in excellent condition and the best I have seen on one of these althought the gasket is original and could be replaced. The bumpers and trim are in good shape as well as the instruments which are of the American style in english units. I have owned this car since 2008 and it has a clear Iowa title and current registration.
