Description for BMW 3.0CS 1973

This car is a low mileage 3.0 CS with a letter from the original owner. The car was upgraded by the original owner with electric cooling fans, Alpina header exhaust system (which I replaced with a Coupe King stainless, plated header exhaust system), solid state ignition, and dual Weber Carburetor upgrade. The original owner moved the gasoline filler inboard to the trunk and modified the rear quarter panel to eliminate the gas door. The original owner had the car painted a dark blue over the original silver. In addition the original owner installed a sport steering wheel, and magnesium wheels. The original owner replaced all the brakes, calipers, pistons, and brake hoses as well as the radiator and coolant hoses and tires prior to sale. Air conditioning is not working all parts present.
I bought the car as an investment and replaced the steering linkage, crossover bearing, and rear transmission bushing, in addition to the rusted out exhaust system. I rewired the ignition system, replaced relays, replaced the ignition switch, chased all the electrical shorts, repaired the electric windows. I have taken the car to a sports car rally, and various cars-n-coffee.
This car has one small spot of rust at the right front quarter panel and the rest is rust free. I have done my part and I am only interested in getting a small return on my investment. With a little cosmetic work this car can return the next owner a much larger return on their investment.
