Description of 1981 BMW 6-Series

1981 BMW 633CSI Coupe

The BMW E24 is the first generation of the BMW 6 Series Coupes and was produced from January 1976 to April 1989. This well-maintained automobile is finished in Safari Beige with a beautiful Mocha Leather interior. The engine is a 3210cc inline six with a 5-speed manual transmission.

This two-owner non-smoker, garaged and highly maintained 1981 BMW 633 CSI is a real looker and is mechanically sound. Mileage as of April 2019 is 117,000. VIN: WBAEB350XB5556121.

This beautiful BMW comes with a file of over 31 years of receipts & documentation of the care that has gone into it. I am the second owner and have lovingly driven and cared for this car since 1988. I am retired now and have taken on other hobbies and interests, and it's time to pass it along to someone who will continue that level of care.

I have kept this fine automobile completely stock except for the sound system, installing a Kenwood dash unit, a Sony amplifier in the trunk, and upgrading the four speakers. The car has its original Mahle BBS wheels currently equipped with nearly new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. I have recently replaced the spare with a new tire, as the original spare had never been on the ground but needed to be replaced due to age. The air conditioner blows cold air, and its sunroof is operational.

The leather interior does show its 38 years of normal wear and tear. The back seat looks new, but the front seats do have some surface cracks and scratches. The leather steering wheel cover and shift boot have been replaced with new leather. The dash has a few surface cracks.

The exterior was repainted in 2004 and at the same time some rust damage at the rear wheel arches was repaired. This repair was done the right way by cutting away the damaged metal, spraying any surrounding metal with rust preventative, welding in new metal and repainting. They did a great job; fifteen years after that repair it shows not a spec of rust. At the same time I had a new windshield installed.

This is one of those cars that is really fun to drive. It handles well, the engine is strong, and I would have no hesitation in taking it on a road trip.

The price for this fine automobile is based upon Hagerty's classic car valuation tool for a #3 Good condition. The title is clear and the vehicle is currently registered, insured and driven.
