Hello, Your looking at a '58 Ultra Super Rare4 Door HARDTOP (No Posts) Buick Estate StationWagon in original unrestored condition. RAREST MODLE, 49D (ONLY 3,420 CARS PRODUCED) Makes this rarer than the Caballero! This '58 Classichas been sitting for many years inside in storage after being found in a dry desert Arizona area. This Buick Estate Wagon found its way to Coloradoaround the year2000 and has been here for many years in storage also. The Classic Wagon was scheduled for a complete restoration, but that never happened, with to may projects and to many cars, the old owner finally parted with this classic wagon last spring of 2019. So after 40 years of sitting around its time for someone to really finally restore, or patina seal this car, as it is so deserving of a great restore.

No Original Drivetrain, (Was a 364 V8 Dual Exhaust Nailhead, Automatic Transmission),but still has the rear shaft and rear end all original. Transmission and Engine were removed. See below for options provided if needed.

As you know already if your looking at this type classic this wagon is not the typical wagon. This is the most sought after classic of wagons as the "Hardtops" are so very hard to find any more-in any condition.This one is super solid and would be almost 100% rust free if it was not for the windows being shot out in the desert! The rain and weather got to the main flat floors with the GM rubber matting, as the "form of carpet" in these wagons.This caused only the flat floor sheet metal to rot away over the years. The main braces and all the critical areas are still all beautiful and solid. (SEE PICTURES!)

The SPARE main rust free floor is all ready cut out from a donor wagon and ready to install. Your job will be cutting out the main floor to the rocker seams to fit it in like a glove.A very good repair and not that hard as all the main braces are super solid still and have not been rotted. Dry desert cars are like this. The lower and upper wheel houses are super solid, the front fenders, all doors, rear cargo area,roof rails, splash pans in the engine bay, and the rear tail gate, are all super solid!!! The only real metal work is the main square floor pan needing to bespot weldedin, and weld seamed to the rockers and braces, that's really it for the metal work!

The Buick is super straight and has never been in a major accident. The frame is super solid and straight. The car is needing really nothing to make it complete,- rare parts wise. The Pot Metal and Chrome is fantastic on this car and is beautiful. No bad pitting or cracks. Main Chrome Bumper are very nice and driver quality with no rust or bad dents. All sheet metal on the car is very nice and rust free. The heater vent work parts were stripped and painted black, see pictures, ready to install. Other parts ready and nice:

  • Gas tank cleaned nice tank and sender
  • Original Coded Harrison Radiator was cleaned out &painted
  • 4 Steel correct 1958 Buick Wheels, stripped and Powder Coated black, then painted red on the front sides only, 4 Tires are New Radials, 225 x 75 x 15" with nice Original 1958 Buick full wheel covers.
  • Steering wheel is crack free and very nice!

TheGLASS: is all needed,this is available here on ebay at around only $300 for all 6 side flat tinted window glassfor 4 doors &2 vents. NOTE: INCLUDED, Ihave the long side cargo area Glass and also the hard to find rear curved upper Gate Glass, all tinted! The front windshield is $350 on ebay, this one on the car is cracked in the middle.

All doors operate great and all windows operate easy, up and down, tail gate is also very good, opens easy and all locks work easy, and I have 2 GM keys with GM code.

NOTE: Available at EXTRA COST: I have several doubles on some '58 ORIGINAL parts. The ORIGINAL power steering components, (if original is desired), I have power steering main case, and main arm, and L&R tie rods all reconditioned parts cleaned and painted black, & ready. ASK!

Completely rebuilt, only 1,000 break in miles and pulled to install a new Vette motor. $3,500! ASK!
