Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

There's an interesting twist on this apparently 1968 Chevrolet Camaro: it's actually a Firebird. Those of you who run and hide when something is a little out of the ordinary should skip this one, but if you're smart enough to see this for what it is, you'll be getting one heck of a car for a fraction of the price of a car that doesn't have an asterisk.
The nice thing about the F-body twins is that all the parts are interchangeable, which is how this Firebird now looks exactly like a Camaro. Nobody will know but you and the DMV, and with the gorgeous black paint, white Z/28 stripes, and other traditional Camaro performance styling, it totally nails the look. Black is tough to work with, but with a conversion from Firebird to Camaro, you know most of the sheetmetal is new, so it's in fantastic condition. Doors fit well and close easily, panel gaps are excellent, and the black paint has a nice shine to it that could be taken to the next level with a professional buff. All the correct emblems and stainless trim was installed at the same time, including the optional wheel arch trim. RS hidden headlights look awesome and it includes a chin spoiler, cowl induction hood, and ducktail out back to create one of the best-looking pony cars of the era. This is a car you can show with pride.
The interior is just as cleanly rendered, featuring comfortable bucket seats with traditional black and white houndstooth upholstery. A center console with the usual horseshoe shifter and a Camaro 3-spoke steering wheel look right at home, and again, there isn't much inside that's not new. New gauges fit in the original pods and put all the information directly ahead of you, and there's a new Retrosound radio that feeds Pioneer speakers in the back. Correct door panels, dash pad, and headliner were installed to give it an authentic look and feel, and from behind the wheel, there's not a lot of evidence that this car has been so extensively modified. The trunk is bare-bones, but that also means there's nothing to hide, and the battery has been relocated to make some room up front and improve weight distribution.
Regardless of where this car started, today it's powered by a potent 6.0 liter LS engine from a Chevy heavy-duty pickup. Complete with fuel injection and a torque curve as flat as Kansas, it runs beautifully and pulls this lightweight F-body around with real enthusiasm. There are about 55,000 miles on the engine, which means it's barely broken-in, and the underhood area has a very OEM look. A custom aluminum radiator keeps it cool effortlessly and custom headers lead to a great-sounding dual exhaust system. There's also a fresh TH350 3-speed automatic transmission bolted to the modern LS block, and a 10-bolt rear axle that doesn't seem to mind the torque. Four-wheel disc brakes with slotted and cross-drilled rotors look racy and are highly effective, and there's a new gas tank out back with a high-pressure fuel system to feed the injected V8. The suspension has been lowered a bit to give it that awesome stance, and those trick alloy wheels really fill the fenders thanks to 225/40/18 front and 275/30/20 rear performance radials.
Ignore the paperwork and realize that you're getting one heck of a car for not a lot of cash. A few tweaks here and there will turn this into an amazing F-body that anyone would love to own. This is a golden opportunity, you just need to recognize it now that it's here. Call today!
