What I have here is a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe - RARE! 1 of little over 6,000 made. Car in located in Henrietta, NYroughly 5 minutesoff Exit 46 of NYS Thruway.

Needs a little work but a lotbetter than a lot of cars of the Northeast, as this one has very little rust and is rather clean.

Purchased this car for a little project and realized I just have too many cars and projects so letting this one go. Would rather get my pro-street Cutlass going this year! I am very critical in my descriptions - most people wouldn't even tell you about most of the issues/problems with this car - like the rear brakes, column, etc. but I am the type, I don't want people to have surprises - I would rather have a happier customer and why I'm being so critical with this car.

Interior is rather nice! New headliner, rear package tray, and window felts. Drivers side seat does have a tear by the power seat switch and a couple of cigarette singes on the seats - none down to the foam and have to look real close. Rest of the interior is complete - showing less than normal use. Dash is not broke across the top like most, but does have a small crack on the passenger side, next to the radio - again, you have to look to find it. I had to replace the steering column, so does not have the correct'black' shift lever or turn signal stalk. The power windows work. The dome light and both under dash lights function. The cluster lights up as it should, but unfortunately the temp gauge doesn't work. When it starts up, the tach looks like tries to work but doesn't - stays zero. All other gauges function. Will need the under dash trim to be correct, as at the moment does not have any - if I locate, I will include but no guarantees. The power windows do function but you have to occasionally push on the switch or hold it a little longer at times. The antenna is a little loose on the fender, as these become as well.

Runs anddrives. Has a rather new tune-up, starts right up, runs a little rough at first and then cleans out - runs smoothonce warmed up. Definitely timing and carb related. When got the car, the original electronic carburetor was junk. Car wouldn't keep running and would flood out. Put a fresh re-man, non-electronic Quadrajet in it's place - runs rather good but the timing issue, as it should have an older style vacuum advance distributor added to it to run like it should. When putting the carb on, NOTHING was cut, so if you decide to rebuild and put the original carb on, shouldn't have to deal with a headache trying to locate plugs, etc. Original carb will be included, but again, needs to berebuilt. Shifts through all gears and downshifts properly when you get on it. Replaced all 4 tie rods, the center link and the idler arm - they are brand new. As well as the front pads and rotors were turned. New BF Goodrich TA 235/60/15s on the front. Rear tires are shot and should be replaced. Yes, it was aligned and drives straight. Rear brakes, if it were me, I would replace, as the drums are showing grooves. Besides that, mechanically I feel the car is good. AC - everything is there but does not function.

Now to the body. Frame and floors are rust free - AMAZING! Rockers, quarters, wheel wells and fenders have no rust. Drivers door is rust free. Passenger door should be replaced. I have one, just never got to install it. I went around this car with a magnet, the only filler I could find was just behind the passenger door - very small area, believe it's from a dent not rust, from what the rest of the car looks like with lack of rust. All exterior lights function! Also has new trunk shocks.
