Description of 1967 Chevrolet C-10

I bought this truck to turn it into a pro touring. custom frame-off masterpiece…but I just can’t do it. I drove from TN to south GA to look at this truck and when I got there. I realized the truck was originally from Knoxville and still had the original Beaty Chevrolet sticker and bumper stamp (see pictures). Everything on the truck was immaculate. So. I bought it and drove it back with my son following…75 mph all the way home. Cruised at the higher speeds like a brand new car. If you want to fly in and drive it home. I think you could. (of course. no guarantees. I have not put more than 200 miles on it in the last 2 years and it hasn't left my garage in over a year). Cab corners - awesomeFloor boards - like new Glove box cardboard - greatCab mounts - wow. except for the dirt dauber nests JKick panels - no rustFirewall - rust freeRoof ridge - has surface rust but nothing significant see picsPassenger door sill - quarter size rust hole (from leaking wing window I think) see picsHood. door bottoms. bed supports. everything was solid Everywhere that you normally find rust was as solid as the day it rolled off the showroom floor on June 19. 1967…Yes even the battery box. Even has the original radio. but it doesn't work. Six cylinder. 3 on the tree. no power anything. in fact there are only 6 fuses in the whole fuse box…OL’ school rocks. but it is cold natured (takes it a while to warm up). nbsp;. Good: Solid…doors. hood and tailgate open perfectly. Only thing new on the whole truck is the 17” wheels and tires. Shifts and runs as it did in 1967. lights and blinkers work and manual choke starts 1st try every time. I also received the original paperwork and documents with every maintenance performed through the mid 80s. including the original 1967 title. dealer book and tag/stamp. Bad: antenna is broken. pass door wing window is loose. bolt to hold the air cleaner to the carb is broken. I think the heater core needs to be replace (it is not bypassed). nbsp;and I believe the shocks are vintage 1967. I drove the truck home. pulled it in my garage and started buying the parts for the transformation to a SWB LS1 bagged beast…. but. as I said the truck is in better shape than any truck I have ever seen. Which means I have an all aluminum LS1. a 4L60E trans including computer and harness and gas tank from a 1998 Camaro that ARE NOT part of this sale. but I might be convinced to sell them with the truck as a package deal if the price is right.
