Allow me to begin describing this beautiful 1966 Chevy Impala from a Vanity standpoint. I’ve driven lots of classics but none has been more enjoyable than this one. EVERYWHERE I drive her people stop and stare as I’m passing by or they come up to her while I’m stopped somewhere. Almost daily as I’m driving down the highway people will pull up beside me. Allow me to digress for a moment………If I let them pull up next to me. Often when they’re trying to go around me I’ll give her some gas and show them that she isn’t simply a slow-cruiser. She will get up and go very quickly. You’ll see pictures with the speedometer up to almost 85 MPH. But people will pull up next to me and give me a thumbs up. She is simply a gorgeous car. The paint as you’ll notice in the pictures looks like glass. Alright time for the “meaty” stuff. I purchased this car from a 75 year old man who had the vehicle totally restored in the last 1 ½ years. He invested almost $30k in to the car. I’m not going to play the games that most do saying that the 60000 miles on the car are original miles. But in principle this car has better miles than that! It only has 4500 miles on it after the restoration which consisted of a completely rebuilt 327 engine. Beautiful grey paint job which is the factory color that cost $4500.00 Beautifully and meticulously appointed new interior consisting a reupholstered seats carpet headliner map lights dash cover new cluster/dash display lights front & rear seat belts installed. $2400.00 New American Wheels & Tires $1800.00 Completely undercoated using the “spray in bedliner material” Trunk also. $800.00 Brand new AC unit that blows “ICE COLD”! Everything component is new. $1800.00 Beautifully appointed chrome around the car. Edelbrook Carburetor $500.00 Original 327 Motor Completely rebuilt at 21750 miles. Reworked the heads. All new pistons. All new bearings. The engine was bored 30 thousands. New water pump. New Oil pump. New fuel pump. Heads and Valves hardened in order to burn unleaded gasoline. Total engine rebuild and work $5500.00 Brand new front end. New tie rod ends. New stabilizer bars. New ball joints. New springs Total front end work $1400.00 New brakes master cylinder booster. New radio New clock Another $5000.00 miscellaneous parts. All of these amounts aren’t inclusive of the initial cost of the car before the rebuild. If you’re looking for one of these that resembles (but not as clean) this car from a distance of about 25 yards and you’re only tooling it around town on Sundays then you can probably find one of those for around $14-16k. But if you’re looking for one that is SUPER CLEAN a head-turner both far away and up close and one you can gas up and drive across country not just your city or county but from coast to coast and have no worries or issues then this is your car.
