Description of 1965 Dodge Coronet

I think I can honestly say with the years of research, and the amount of time and money put into this project it is without any doubt the most authentically restored A-990 in existence. It also has a short but impressive race history. It hasn't had a mud bath bondo skimcoat or 1000hrs. of block sanding, trimming and fitting to make it something it never was. It may be a bit nicer than when it was new because some of the factory dings have been removed. The new single stage enamel (no basecoat clearcoat) might have a little more gloss than the paint 50 yrs. ago, but every part unique to to the 65 A-990 has been restored to new condition or replaced with NOS. Everything is as delivered in 65 from the aluminum K heads to the tire valve stem caps and wheel weights. I invite any potential buyers or any one they choose to come and inspect this car. Over the years I have memorized almost every word in Jim Schild and Darrell Davis's books (much admiration for both) I would love to have either one or both come and check it out. I can provide hundreds of photos of unmolested A-990 cars in every detail including 8x10 factory photos of the first A-990 Dodge to come off the line at the Lynch Rd plant and documents from Chrysler Confidential such as Product Planning Technical Section to Fleet Engineering with part numbers and instructions to build these cars. With all this I can prove indisputably this car is as delivered to Crenshaw Dodge in 1965. I will include all the material I have collected over the years ads, articles, plus 3 Chrysler blueprints of the 426 Race Hemi that are 3' X 18'.
The engine was professionally built with a nice correct date Race Hemi block .030 over, standard crank, Carillo rods, NOS 13 to 1 Mopar Super Stock pistons, Racer Brown cam ground to A-990 specs. Excellent set of aluminum K heads set up by Hemi Guru Lynn Balek, mag intake with NOS linkage and a matched pair of correct date 3116 Holleys. The trans has an origional A-990 cable shift case with a park delete tail housing, 5 disc front drum, bolt in rear sprag, .5 lever, Turbo Action reverse pattern valve body and converter to A-990 specs. All parts on this car are correct date codes. It comes with 5 origional wheels and new tires, plus the MT street slicks and wider wheels pictured for looks. All factory stamped numbers and tags are correct and present. Any questions from serious qualified buyers are welcome to call Ron at 575 403 5372 I would like to thank Norm Brandas for letting me use a picture of his mirror image car at the drag strip for my opening picture.

These cars were purpose built race cars, I have a copy of the dealer form that all buyers had to sign stating that they understood these were not intended for street use. This car has never been titled, for an extra charge the dealer would give you a MSO, On the title required info I had to pick one of the choices to finish the listing. IT WILL COME WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY!
