Description of 1951 Dodge Other Pickups B3B

Don’t want to sell it but my wife hates it. She says I need something with a/c and side impact airbags and won’t ride with me in it. She was hit head on by a semi truck while back and has 13 screws in her leg so I’m going to yield to her concerns and let it go.

New front brake shoes and wheel cylinders rebuilt as well as the master brake cylinder.

Chrome Dodge Ram hood ornament is not installed nor is the horn, dash lights or turn signals or door lock but they do come with the truck.

Has a stainless steel gas tank and mahogany bed that just needs a light sanding and one plank is split.

The paint is 10-10 as is looks good at 10 miles an hour from 10 feet away. There is light surface rust spiderwebbing pretty much all over. The dash is emaculate.Beautiful gauges with perfect chrome. Only the oil pressure gauge is hooked up and reads great oil pressure. There is a separate gas gauge under the dash.

The entire truck was disassembled and sand blasted years ago for a frame off resto and the engine has less then 10k miles on the rebuild. But it sat outside for a while sometime after that. It has not been repainted since being taken down to raw metal. No cancer on the floor boards or any where else.

Underneath, drivetrain and suspension was also sandblasted and painted black.

Truck is fun and easy to drive.

The only mechanical issue is that the clutch plate may be warped, you can let the clutch out slow, or you can let the clutch out fast, and it will be fine, but if you let the clutch out at out at a medium speed it will chatter. But there could oil on part the clutch that needs cleaned or it could be warped. Still engages fine but but bounces it along for a moment till the clutch is fully engaged, however if you are on a a hill and just feathering the clutch to keep the truck stationary while in gear it doesn’t do it. Personally I know how to engage the truck without chattering so much it so it doesn’t bother me. And it could have years left on it.

Other issues are that I’ll be working on is the driveer window goes down easy but gets jammed sometimes going back up, needs finessed. And the passenger window is stuck.

Feel free to come take a look and drive. Clean title is in my name and has current new tags
