Description of 1978 Dodge Other interceptor

Here is a very rare old Mopar This is the last of an era of the Legendary Mopar Police Pursuit Interceptors. Most of these were crashed. scrapped. beat into the ground. jumped in movies or had the drive trains stripped. This Monaco is unusual because of its fantastic condition. Sure its common to find a Roadrunner. R/T Challenger in restored or survivor condition but not these old highway cruisers. This car was acquired from an estate and has been in heated storage for years. Factory Police package E-86 A-38 Special order 440 H. P. Magnum Police car. A Survivor big block car. End of an era and the last year the Mighty 440 Magnum was offered in any of Mother Mopar's cars. Now this rarely seen car is up for sale. From what I can tell this car still wears 95% of it's original paint and interior. It was ordered for a Sgt at the station with some neat options. Factory carpet. not the rubber mat that held moisture and ruined floors. All the fender. . i. n. tags are in place as well as a nice build sheet. Factory ordered tilt wheel steering and cruise control. 60/40 bench seat with fold down arm rest that is in excellent shape. am radio. upgraded trunk release button located on the far left under the rear defrost switch. not the white button located near the ash tray that most of the cars had. Electric rear defrost plus the usual power brakes. teering. functioning heater blows hot and the A/C with original freon still does blow ice cold!! I've also installed a expensive mandrel bent front to rear dual exhaust with the correct resonators and factory turn down tips. New brakes. tires. all fluids are fresh as is the basic tune up items. Is it perfect? No while it is an amazing survivor it does have 30 plus years of minor scrapes. bruises. This car is a blast to drive. It drives straight and true as it should with undercover but commanding road presence. This was a unit that was assigned to the one Officer that drove it home after end of shift. It's condition says it all. You and 4 of your friends . family can jump in and take it to the shows. dinner or where ever you want to cruise. Dont miss out on this rare opportunity to add a different and unique car to your Mopar stable at a reasonable cost! I never thought I would sell but locating my dream car has required it. The Monaco will be taken out of storage this week for additional pics and I will be posting more to the auction in the next few days. thanks for your patience! Being sold as is. Bid to win with this no reserve auction and good luck!! Thanks for looking.
