Description of 1941 Ford Other Pickups

This handsome 1941 Ford Pickup is a fine example that has been lovingly restored by a passionate enthusiast. The most recent owner purchased it in Colorado in 1982, fter finding it on the side of the road in solid but tired shape. He brought the truck to his home in Michigan where he and his son embarked on an extensive body-off restoration. The chassis was fully restored, he original 90 Horsepower "24 stud"Flathead was rebuilt, nd the body was professionally prepped and painted in correct Ford Blue over Black fenders. In 1996, t finally emerged from the workshop in show condition. In the following years it won multiple awards, ncluding a prestigious AACA Junior award at the Dearborn Centennial Meet. The purchase and restoration of the truck has been well documented and is presented in a binder, rganized by year.

Since the restoration, t has been lovingly maintained and still presents in excellent and highly correct condition. After 19 years, he paint remains deep and glossy, testament to the quality of the prep work. There are a few minor blemishes which can be expected with an older restoration, owever it is still quite attractive overall. Panel fit is good and the body has been nicely accessorized with Deluxe fog lamps, eluxe headlight bezels, rille guard, hitewall tires, nd oak bed rails. The chrome bumpers, ignature "waterfall"grille and bright work are in very good condition, aving been professionally replated during the restoration and well cared-for since. The headlight bezels show some minor pitting but are otherwise in good condition. The bench seat is upholstered in the correct green material, nd a black dash, ubber mats and correct cab paneling complete the proper look. Original instruments are supplemented with an auxiliary temperature gauge. This truck also has a period heater and add-on turn signals for additional safety.

The correct and original flathead V8 was fully rebuilt as part of the restoration and is a strong runner today. It is tidy and correctly finished, howing some signs of moderate use. The chassis and undercarriage are well detailed and properly finished, lso showing some signs of regular use but free of rust, amage or excessive leaks.

We performed an extensive, n-house 110 point inspection to ensure it is safe and enjoyable on the road. Since being restored, his 41 Ford Pickup has taken on a light but pleasing patina, nd remains very attractive. It has clearly been cherished and we are very pleased to offer it to the next keeper who can continue the legacy.
