Description of 1946 Ford Other Pickups

This auction is for a 1946 Ford 1/2 Ton Short Box Pickup. All Henry Ford Steel. Flat Head V-8, Speed Manual Transmission. I will give you as much history as I found out and how I see the truck. To begin with I bought this truck when it had been completely taken apart. This has been an on going frame off restoration for some time now by the prior owner. The truck originated from the state of Oregon as the owner wanted a real nice clean truck to restore and that it was! The truck was completely taken apart, very nut and bolt. Frame was painted and new body mounts installed. All Truck parts were painted and wrapped. The cab, ood and box color is deepburgundy, he front and rear fenders and grill shell are black cherry that have a very nice purple hue in the light. Motor and Transmission were reinstalled, ab and box was reinstalled. Brakes were completely done with new lines, ylinders, hoes and Dual Master Brake Cylinder. New Dual Exhaust with Fenton Headers and new Smitty Mufflers was installed. Exhaust dumps just in front of the rear end but we have new tail pipes if you want to exit out the rear. Converted to 12 Volt System, use box is installed, ost wiring is intact but may want to get a new harness for a cleaner job. Has Electric Fuel Pump and Electric Fan for cooling. New plug wires and coil. Cooling system has been cleaned and fresh anti-freeze. After it got to this point, here was some life changes for the owner. Iacquiredit after. I decided to put as much of it together to make it easier to ship and also to inventory the parts. I have most everything for the vehicle to finish it up and I made a list. It would be easier to tell you what it needs. Will need front windshield gasket, oth windshieldhalf's(we have one of thehalf'sbut it is cracked but good for pattern), oth defroster vents for the heater and maybe a few misc trinkets. I have everything else. The grill bars and long hood bars were chrome and are surface rusted from sitting around. You could sand them down and paint them or just purchase a new set. They sell for around $240 for a set. Both front and rear bumpers are in the same condition and can bere-chromedor painted. When we purchased the truck it did not have a seat but I found a 1946 parts truck and purchased a seat frame (upper and lower withbrackets) that needs restored. This truck had to be in above average condition as the box is like new as are the doors and cab. There was some dents taken out of the lower grill shell and minor ones on the fenders. Who ever did the body work and paint did a very nice job. I have all the original wheels and hubcaps with the 16 inch tires. I put on a set of vintage Superior aluminum slots with new 15 inch radial white wall tires. If you want the aluminum wheels and tires add $400 to the sale price. As you can imagine thousands of dollars has been spent on the restoration so far. If you are handy itwouldn'ttake much to finish it up and have it ready for spring. Finish it original or go custom. We encourage you to call us as there is too much to mention. We are putting a very reasonable reserve for a quick sale as we need the garage space. We have had some local interest so to be fair to all we reserve the right to end the auction in case of a local sale.If the truck meets reserve we will let the auction run to the end. Please be serious in following thru with the sale should you be the winning bidder. We require a $500 dollar deposit at the end of the auction and balance to be paid within 7 days of auctions end. Have a clear title and proper dealer paperwork for a smooth transaction. If you need more info or specific pics feel free to email or call us at 1-207-324-5568 Days or 1-207-432-2862 Eves and Sundays.

To answer a few of the same questions. We do have most of the parts that were removed from the truck when taken apart. The pics on the trailer are of those parts . All grill bar, ront and rear bumpers with braces, river and passenger door windows and frames ( window wind up mechanisms are already installed, ew anti rattler kit for both doors and glass, ear cab glass, arnish moldings, ew e brake cables, nbsp;and the list goes on, lso the camera that we use is getting old so the pics are notcomingout as clear as they used too.Believeme the truck has a beautiful vibrantBurgundypaint job nice and is clear no orange peel and same with the black portion. Pictures don't do it any justice. If you have the chance come see the truck in person. Thanks for all the emails

I want to say thanks for all the interest in the truck . I am lowering the reserve some to make things more affordable . Someone is going to get a heck of a buy.
