Description of 1953 Ford F-100 |
1953 ford truck Up for sale is a great looking vintage pickup truck. This truck has undergone numerous upgrades and modifications to make it perform and look good doing it. The old strait axle front end setup was removed and professionally replaced with the popular volare front end. We chose this front end because they work great under this style truck and have 8 inches of adjustment. Which gives you the ability to modify the ride height to your desired taste weather you want to put it in the weeds or a little higher. The power steering and independent front end make it handle very well down the road. Since we used a volare front end we decided to go with a 318 v8 and a 727 torqueflite transmission. The engine is outfitted with full length headers. 2" strait pipe exhaust which sounds awesome. an edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. all new tune up parts including distributor. power steering pump. fuel pump/filter . A chrome Lokar swan neck shifter was installed to handle the gear selecting. I like these shifters because they work great and retain the original shifter look. The rearend is a late model highway geared unit which we did an axle flip on and c-notched the frame for axle travel . The truck has a new wiring harness. new gauges and gauge cluster. 2 speed electric wipers. nice electric heater ( which heats you out of the truck). nbsp;a modern radiator to keep the engine nice and cool even on extremely hot days. As far as the body the drip rail has been removed to give the cab a clean look. A new bed was made with capped rails. extended and rolled outer stake pockets . and inner wheel wells were added to the inside of the bed. The bed is a great upgrade and has a new pine floor with painted strips to match the truck. A rear roll pan section was added and fitted with 1948 chevy tail lights. The whole truck was taken apart and professionally painted with a custom flatten orange urethane paint that really makes this truck stand out in a crowd. For a little contrast the grill and inside of the truck were sprayed the same orange but satin instead of flat. The grill teeth. emblems. mirrors. wiper arms. hood rods. nbsp; and outer handles are all new chrome/stainless which really look nice on the flat paint job. All of the glass is new this includes the windshield. side glass. vent glass and rear window. Along with the glass all the seals and gaskets are new as well. The interior has been completely redone and fits the look of the truck very well. The truck rides on a set of bfgoodrich radial with wall tires mounted to a set of painted steel wheels which are trimmed with stainless steel rings and caps. I hope my description and pictures do this cool old truck justice. As most of us know it takes countless hours and lots of money to get an old truck to this level. As I have described in my description a extreme amount of work has gone into this truck to make it look and handle the way it does. Everything works as it should the lights. blinkers. gauges. courtesy light. doors. windows. vents ect. It starts up everytime and cruises down the open highway without a hitch. This is not a brand new truck or a 100k dollar build. Meaning it is not perfect but very respectable and cool. I'm sure it will provide lots more thumbs up to the next owner.
