This car underwent an extensive restoration completed approximately 5 years ago with few miles logged. The body was brought down to bare metal and any rust repaired & panels replaced as needed. The paint is Suburst Orange. The interior was stripped and restored/replaced with original type interior. The rubber seals were replaced throughout. The 289 engine is date correct and rebuilt. A T-5 5-speed manual transmission has been installed. The braking system was updated with a power front disc brake conversion kit. The suspension was removed. upgraded and restored throughout. The wheels were updated with these polished 15x7 REV rims. So much has been done to this Mustang. it is a proven show car as well. The paint and body are in excellent condition. This car was restored right and it shows. The Sunburst Orange paint is in beautiful condition. The doors. hood. and trunk lid align correctly and the body panels show straight. The interior has been completely restored. The dash was disassembled. prepped and painted the striking Sunburst Orange to match the exterior. The carpeting and upholstery have been replaced along with the headliner. door panels. fold-down rear seat. kick panels. windshield. Grant GT steering wheel. weatherstripping. and much more. The rear fold-down seat is a popular factory option in the 2+2 Mustangs. The JBL speakers are custom installed and paired with the JVC AM/FM CD Stereo. The engine compartment displays the 289 4bbl. V8 engine. This engine is date correct. featuring some performance upgrades. It sounds and runs excellent. Induction duties are courtesy of a Holley 4bbl. caburetor atop a discreetly painted aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. The air conditioning system was installed by HCC Performance here in Dallas. Texas. This is a Classic Auto Air system showcasing a polished compressor. The A/C blows cold. The finned aluminum painted Mustang valve covers are paired with a low profile chromed breather. Engine parts new or rebuilt include : distributor with pertronix ignition. alternator. Holley carb. starter. water pump. fuel pump. radiator. fan shroud. voltage regulator. solenoid. all hoses and belts. battery & cables. coil. spark plugs & wires. ignition switch. oil pan & hood hinges. The heater core was replaced and the heater box rebuilt. The power steering has been rebuilt with new pump. cylinder. control valve. and hoses. The braking system has been upgraded with a power front disc brake conversion. This is a well sorted out Mustang that shows well throughout. The body was professionally worked and any rust replaced or repaired. The front fenders have been replaced. The lower rear quarter panels were fixed with new metal. Also the front and rear valance pans were replaced along with the floorboards. We have a disc full of restoration photos. The following photos depict some of the work performed. Various trim parts replaced with new parts include the rocker panel moldings. hood and trunk trim & letters. taillight bezels. bumpers. front bumper guards. antenna. outer door handles. backup lights. and more. The undercarriage is in excellent condition. displaying solid frame rails and a host of work performed. The front suspension has been replaced. The idler arm was replaced along with the front & rear shocks. front coil springs and rear leaf springs. The driveshaft was balanced and new U-Joints installed. The floorboards have been replaced as well. The 8-inch rear end was rebuilt and an Eaton Locker installed. This is a serious Mustang that was well built. This is a car that can drive to a car show and win. This car is capable of being driven daily or being a weekend. Sunny Day cruiser. The car has been garage kept since its restoration. Just a beautiful car inside and out. the interior glows with Sunburst Orange and replaced components. The original C4 automatic transmission has been replaced with the T-5 manual 5-speed. The original identification plate is also in place. The rims of choice are these custom REV brand polished 15x7 rollers with 235/60R15 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 Radials all around. The trunk is also restored and detailed with replaced weatherstrip and trunk mat along with a spare tire/wheel & jacking equipment with a cover. Check out the DynaMat insulation.
