Description of 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1

You are looking at a 1971 Ford MACH 1 MUSTANG 351 Cleveland * RED & BLACK inside and out. First of all I am not a car dealer and nowhere near a mechanic but I will tell you the 100% truth regarding the car. I recently bought this car several months ago for my 16 year old son(he actually took out the loan) which he now decided that he needs a truck because he can't fit enough friends in this Mustang. He also doesn't like the low visibility out of the rear(rookie driver). I consider the car very solid. It has driven great since the day we got it. It has only been driven back and fourth to his school every day and I have taken it out a bit on the weekend days. Recently I had a new fly wheel put on and since then it has had a slight delay when it shift gears. I took it to our local mechanic and he said it needs new seals on the Transmission which will cost between $300 and $500. For the most part it still drives good so I haven't had it done. It starts right up every time and sounds like a beast. and it's all that you can do to hold it back from peeling out. And what's crazy is that it's just got a 2 barrel carb on it right now. The man that I bought it from had $18. 00 in just fixing it up. He told me that the mileage is original. You can tell that at one time it had some rust as you can see some patched from underneath on the wheel wells. The paint is new. not perfect but looks darn good. I have the brand new MACH 1 stripe kit and it come with the car. There is also a new rear window trim and front right reflector that come with the car but haven't been put on yet. I know that there are a lot of new parts under hood and I will try to find the list the previous owner gave us. Stuff like the carb. starter. etc. It really needs a new set of front tires badly but my son just can't afford it right now. The air conditioner needs work but I haven't had it checked out yet so it might just need a recharge. It has the original brakes(new brake shoes) which work good but you have to get on em which is typical of these old non power brakes. Anyway. I think it's great and I wish my son would keep it but he's moving on so he needs to sell it. I think anyone wanting a killer looking Mustang to drive every day would be super happy with this one. You are more then welcome to make arrangements. come by. check it out. take it for a drive. We are located in Paris.
