Description of 1969 Ford F-100 Ranger

1969 F100 Ranger Long Bed 2wd with the "Explorer Special" package - see Ford advertising pic. The truck is unrestored and in amazing condition. It looks as beautiful in person as it appears in the pictures. It does have scratches and chips. This is a nearly 50 year old truck after all. The interior is also all original and it boggles the mind how a truck has survived in this condition. The only visual detractor about the interior is the cracked dash pad - see pic. All of the exterior chrome and trim is original. Nothing has been replaced. It's all the original FoMoCo parts. Upon close scrutiny you will find some dings and scratches in the chrome and trim. The biggest fault is the right front bumper guard. As the name implies, its been bumped but as you see in the pics it's not readily noticeable. The motor starts easily and readily. It sounds good and drives as nice as it looks. Again, this is still a 50 year old truck. If you know how the typical old truck operates you will be very impressed with this one. The power brakes take minimal effort. The power steering is smooth and precise. The manual choke makes start up and cold idle a breeze. As far as I know the only thing that doesn't work is the gas gauge. Grounding the sending unit wire does not make read full as it's supposed to. That's as far as my diagnostics have gone. There is one rust spot on the drivers side bottom of the fender - see pic. That is the only rust in the whole truck. If you have any other questions I can be reached at 573-230-6222.
