Vinyl Interior SELLER REMARKS Early 4x4s are the thing to own right now. and this 1975 Ford Bronco makes a compelling case for off-road fun. Bright yellow paint certainly helps it stand out. but it's the details that will win you over and with a strong 302 under the hood. it moves more like a tall Mustang than a truck. Go on. have some fun in the mud! 1975 was the end of the line for the first-generation Bronco. but the die was cast and the name would continue for another two decades before finally being retired. Given how good this half-cab mini pickup looks. it's kind of a shame they didn't continue with the early truck's versatility. because it does just about everything well. The restoration was finished a few years ago. and the super straight bodywork is the result of a lot of time and effort. Fender flares were added. along with tubular bumpers and steps. so it has that tough off-road look that's so appealing. The half-cab means it's strictly a two-seater. but the mini bed in back can be useful for hauling gear to your favorite campsite or fishing hole. or even just down to the car show. where this truck will definitely be a hit. Right now. however. it's filled with a custom spare tire carried and a full-sized spare on a diamond-plate base. which gives it a pretty butch look. There's a regular tailgate plus a Pro-Net gate to shave some weight. and it's been covered with a spray-in bedliner so you don't need to worry about beating it up. Two bucket seats give the interior a very utilitarian look. but with fresh seat covers. correct door panels. and even carpets on the floor. it's very nicely finished. The original dashboard has been painted to match the bodywork and really brightens up the all-black driver's compartment. Factory gauges amount to a speedometer with gas gauge. but a set of mechanical oil pressure and temperature gauges have been added under the dash. complete with built-in warning lights. A Sony AM/FM/cassette stereo is in the dash with speakers in the doors. and the original heater is powerful enough to roast a turkey in the compact cab. That Hurst shifter controls the original 3-speed manual transmission. which is also linked to a 2-speed transfer case. controlled by a second lever on the floor. The warmed-over 302 cubic inch V8 provides plenty of horsepower and performance on the street. and in the rough it's content to idle over the rough stuff without complaints. It's dressed up with a set of Edelbrock valve covers which go with the carburetor and intake. The engine bay is quite clean with lots of new equipment. and the satin black paint is low-maintenance. Underneath. the chassis is in excellent condition and features custom long-tube headers and glasspack-style mufflers for a great sound and an upgraded suspension so it sits right. It doesn't appear to have been a northern truck. so the undercarriage is pretty tidy and those polished aluminum wheels with oversized Mickey Thompson off-road tires give it an awesome stance. A neat little truck with great power and an awesome look. Fun. funky. fast. and surprisingly practical. it's a cool way to have some fun in the dirt.
