Description of 1959 Ford Galaxie 500

There's no better way to go out cruising than in a long and sleek 1959 Ford Galaxie 500 hardtop that has been given the proper care to be a strong-running V8 coupe.
This is the ultimate classic for many of us. 1959 was the introduction of the top-of-the-line Galaxie trim, and the later upgrade to black paint gives this the style it deserves. We love the design cues from this model like the flat front that looks even wider thanks to the quad headlight package. Plus, the arched tail fins run the entire back half of the car. Because this is the top trim, the amount of chrome on this car can just about be described in acres. The most impressive piece of this brightwork package is the sweeping profile line that starts at the headlights and runs all the way until it accents the start of the tailfin. And just below it, the rear wheel well picks up some extra flair, too. Plus, the way the rear bumper is notched to draw even more attention to the afterburner-style taillights is pure '50s awesome excess. And while the factory got the style right, this one even turns it up a notch further with the custom billet-style grille and smoothie wheel covers.
The interior has the kind of distinction that will have you rolling down all the windows on this hardtop just so people can get a closer look. After all, you have red, white, and black expertly interwoven within the door panels, seats, dash, and carpeting. If that triple-tone wasn't already enough you have the distinctive cloth inserts within the seats! And with plenty of room for family and friends, it's easy to share this distinctive look with everyone. The dash makes sure to continue representing the era correctly by keeping items like the AM radio and clock on display. But the upgraded auxiliary gauge trio neatly integrated underneath also mean this is made for cruising today.
The forward-tilting hood gives you an excellent view of the 292 cubic-inch V8. It also seems like they made a nice investment here during the resonation to have it looking its best. There's a repainted bold red block, shining valve covers, and a big air topper that borrowed elements from both. So it's a well-coordinated package that radiates from this dark black engine bay. More than just an investment in making this look good, they also took the time/money to keep this running strong. The V8 fires up readily, idles nicely, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly. So yes, this sleek black coupe also has the right kind of V8 power to let you enjoy the drive.
This is a first-ever Galaxie with the kind of classic presentation that really makes you love its history. That's true classic motoring. Call today!!!
