Description of 1955 Ford Crown Victoria 2 Door Coupe

The 1955 Ford Fairlaine Crown Victoria
My name is Al Rivera. I am a broker and I have been hired by the seller. A local family member from the estate of a deceased private collector, contacted me to sell this car. I have taken pictures of this sharp time machine with my digital camera. The photos have not been photo shopped or manipulated for this presentation. The pictures represent just how it looks.
I have the pleasure to present this 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria, which was of Fords great success models of the 1950"s.. It has been in this family for many years and it has been a part of the family and with great reluctance, they have decided that it was time to let it go. So, for the first time, since it rolled off the showroom floor, it is being brought out to the public and to be seen and sold.
This Crown Victoria has been restored. It has been kept original as much as possible over the years. The 292 cubic inch V-8 engine and transmission have both been re built at the same time.Maintenance has always been kept up, more the reason the car has lasted so long and so well. Definitely a Southern California Car. I did note a littlerust at the bottom of the trunk lid and rear bumper apron. It has been repainted the same color as designated by the factory. One change noted are the brakes. Customer went ahead and put on new front disc brakes with front rotors. Still kept the rear drum brakes, but went ahead and put new drums and shoes in the rear, so it has all new brakes currently. The owner has put on new tires and newer hubcaps to dress it up and making sure the car is always safe to drive.
The "Vicky" has a new interior, very nice and new carpet too. The interior touches turned out very nice, even though, not exact duplicates. The seats are very comfortable and the radio works great too! New front end suspension parts make it drive like a dream, and shock absorbers too. Engine starts right up and ready to go. Absolutely, turn key. Jump in and go and will take you where you want to go with ease and safety. No accidents that we know of, which is a great sign. The side fender skirts are missing, but still looks pretty classy. If you ever wanted a fifties car, to drive around, or even make it your daily driver, this is the one to get. Take a good look, ask any questions you want, Don't let this classic slip through your fingers, being a part of history and fun to drive, you just can't loose with this winning combination!

In Retro, Some Interesting facts about the Ford of 1955
The American Ford line of cars gained a new body for 1955 to keep up with the surging Chevrolet. Along with a bigger engine size, which was used in the Thunderbird and the Crown Victoria, the 292 V-8 with 193 horsepower.
Apart from the engine changes, customers were sure to notice the new Fairlane, which replaced the Crestlines, which were the top trim level, while a new Crown Victoria -style featured a chrome "basket handle" across the familiar Victoria hard top roof, which originally appeared on the Mercury XM-800 concept car. This use of a styling feature to visually separate the front of the passenger compartment from the rear reappeared on the 1977 to 1979 Ford Thunderbird, the Ford Fairmont Futura and Mercury Zephyr Z-7 coupes. The company now marketed three different rooflines on it's two door models; the tall two pillar Mainline, Customline, and Fairlane sedans. pillarless hard top Fairlane Victoria and the transparent "skylighted" top.
The Fords introduced for 1955 also featured the panoramic windshields found on Oldsmobiles, Buicks, and Cadillacs the previous year. With this panoramic windshield the "A" Pillars have a verticle angle, this gave the driver more panoramic visibility.
