Description of 1975 Ford E-Series Van

SPECS:

1975 Ford Econoline E-350

Was originally a 12-passenger church bus, rebuilt in the early 90s into 4WD chase van for the Ford Rough Riders / Venable Racing teams.

Vehicle currently carries 2 passengers / 2 large dogs comfortably (optional bench seat included)

Fully functional 4x4 system will carry you to the most remote places, and home again.
CA native vehicle and forever smog-exempt.
The motor is a 351 Windsor SVT crate motor from Patten Race Engines.
It has a Ford C6 Culhane transmission.
It has a fresh BergWarner 1356 transfer case.
Front end has a '92 Dana 50 twin traction beam, shortened one inch on radiusarm with coil over conversion, built by Russ Warnamont and Darryl Jacques at Venable Racing.
Rear end is a Dana 60 out of a '92 F250. It’s mounted on National leafs.
Van comes fully loaded with on-board welding system and oversized alternator. Two spare Alcoa wheels/BFGs included. Roof rack and ladder are in good working order. 20 foot boom antenna connects to 100 watt rugged radio. 12 inch Lowrance GPS unit. 5 HID KC Hi-Lights included.
2K watt power inverter offers you comforts when you want to "plug in"

Dual Optima batteries

Everything is in good working order.

Inside is a steel bedframe lifted by gas struts to access storage and workdrawers underneath. A custom build curio box sits underneath the pop-out windows to hold personal items (we keep a collapsible portapotty for camping & emergencies).

All of the windows are in excellent working order, along with the slider door. The van's paint is stunning, but there are some signs of wear and tear from the last 3 years including scratches and minor rust (when we painted the van & did the interior renovations).

The audio system has been upgraded to include a Bluetooth stereo and we installed surround sound speakers.

We have driven this van from the tip of the Baja peninsula to Portland OR and back (a few times!!).

There are some scratches and a bit of rust. I included some pictures of examples of that.

STORY:

Bought this van from my uncle after his offroad days were through. This van was my daily driver for about 5 years until about 2 years ago when I picked up and started building a 7.3L crew cab OBS work truck. We are going to be racing out of the new pit truck now and we dont NEED the van. We hate to see it just sitting.

This thing is amazing. Driving it is a dream. For the "low-tech" mechanic such as myself, troubleshooting simple issues has become second nature. Theres no chance of getting stuck due to a computer failure.... and theres definitely no lack of Ford parts. We have gotten this van dialed in to a science, and driving her off-road is where the real smiles come out. She eats up the whoops and the broken Baja roads. We have pulled fisherman out of the sand and towed a little bit of everything, from prerunners to trophy trucks.

With an onboard welder you'll even be set up to do remote repairs if thats your thing. And with two fuel tanks you should be able to get there.

We started to get her all set up for "van life" so she is camping ready, while still being highly customizable to what YOU want to do.
