Description of 1977 GMC Sierra 1500 Sierra Classic

1977 GMC Sierra Classic
4x4
shortbed AZ
desert survivor

LOW FAIR RESERVE ...bid on it to win !
Nice original GMC Sierra Square body, Like in
the movie "No Country For Old Men" Trucks just
like this where used for a 80s period correct look.
DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS ON HAND
AND SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING THIS VEHICLE, PERIOD.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING AT THIS AD YOU PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW
What you are wanting.
1 think you WONT SEE IN OUR ADS is the phrase "rust in the usual
places" AND this is for Obvious reasons. 1, our vehicles generally have
less rust then 80% of the unrestored cars out there for sale.
2, anyone who uses that term couldnt be more vague and no telling
what they are hiding. We try to be very honest and transparent in our
ads, but wont use vague terms as mentioned prior.

We suggest viewing our auction on normal large monitors
and or tablet to get the most out of our large easy to view pics.
Desert Survivor being sold by a very legit Ebay seller
If you have any concerns about our vehicle, please ask or dont
bid on it.
FEEDBACK !!! if you cant take 10 min to read thru our feedback
on the cars we have sold here over the last 10 yrs, then you also
shouldnt be bidding on our auctions. Ebay offers our Feedback rating
for a reason,... try trusting it.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
These trucks are getting so much harder to find, the truck has had the same
owner since it had only 500 miles on it. Its been in AZ its whole life, so the
lack of rust on the body, floors, cab etc are obvious. THE BAD PART IS: the
owner had a thick rubber Bed-mat in the bed for the last 30 yrs, and the bed
floor is toast. Youll see the pics. I believe you could just weld in a new bed floor
and easily keep the rest of it original, but its something the new owner will have
to deal with. Thats really the only area of rot, check out all the 100+ pics below
to see what we are talking about. This is an AZ truck.
You are looking at all original paint, no rot or previous body repairs.
It has 98k original miles on it and not used much at all of the last 15 yrs
It starts with the key all the time and runs and drives, but there is an obvious
noise coming from the rearend.
Has some really cool period correct stuff from the 70s and 80s.
Comes with keys and Az title ready to go.
Sure it needs some restoration, maybe even some resto-mod touches, but
the only real rust on this vehicle is in the bed floor at least.

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND
BUILD ANYWAY YOU WANT, NO HARM NO FOUL !
Excellent Investment / Clean Clear Arizona Title

If you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: I wont end it early, sorry.

DRIVETRAIN: Under the hood is I believe the original 350 SBC
with some basic period correct upgrades. IE headers, aluminum
intake and 4v carb. Starts runs and sounds nice. About 10 yrs ago
a 700R auto replaced the original trans, which is a nice upgrade.
They moved the shifter to the floor and added a B&M style shifter
which really needs to be replaced with something better. I never
liked them when they where new. But once you get it into the
gear position you want (Ie DR or R) you can move or drive the
vehicle. That being said, the rearend in the back is making noise
like a bad bearing or something, so dont plan on driving too far
till you at least fix that. All the AC stuff is still connected and there
but its not been charged in about 10 yrs. Also, front driveshaft is
out and gone.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, it has some alot of Az wear
n tear, and sun damage. But the floors and corners are in great
shape. Truck also came with a factory tach and gauges. Odometer
looks to show about 98k on it, which is probably correct. It will need
resto here too of course, but the floors, corners etc are amazingly solid.
Carpet is all but gone and taken out. All the glass looks good. Doors
open and close well too, no real sag on the hinges. But the AZ sun has been
pretty hard on the plastics etc. I think the ft seat is loose too.

EXTERIOR:the body has some war wounds, mostly around the
lower panels. Hood has the fatal bend midway up only because the hinges
got dry from sitting for yrs and someone tried to close it. Hinge springs are off for now. Overall the body is in pretty nice shape and could probably drive it as is on the outside if you wanted. Look in the bed though and thats where the floor got all the rust and rot. Sadly enough.Tailgate is really nice and works. You are looking at the original Yellow paint, thats has some Az sun fade of course. Chrome on the bumper is nice and period correct
pushbar is cool.
It commands alot of attention. Even AS IS with the paint issues,
people love it.

SUSPENSION:the suspension had a Rough Country 5" lift installed
back in the day and looks all complete. Sits great and its sitting on
some old 15x8 white spokes and really old tires. I also saw some
chrome diff covers under there too from back in the day.
It may need some work here too, normal wear and tear stuff but
nothing seemed obvious when I was driving it around the block.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

Probably The BEST represented Square Bodies on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rust bucket for weeks.
Survivors are getting harder to find ! I know alot of people
Would want to R/T clone this car or Resto-Mod it.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
