Description of 1986 Honda Prelude |
| * 1986 HONDA PRELUDE Si *Up for bid is my classic 1986 HONDA Prelude Si 2 door coupe. The particulars of the Prelude are as follows:* A two senior owned car since new. originally purchased in Columbia. S. Carolina. The car was meticulously cared for throughout its life. It was traded in to Rick Hendrick HONDA (N. C) in 2006 by its original owner. At that time it had less than 32K miles on it. It was then subsequently sold to a 72 year old gentleman from Jacksonville. Fl. * ONLY 85. 27 fully documented actual miles. * Comprehensive full service history maintained exclusively by two Honda dealers. * Garaged & pampered non-smoker ownership. * A southern car that is guaranteed to have ZERO RUST. nada!* CARFAX certified NO ACCIDENT history and ownership. The only paint work was to the driver side door and blending on the driver side fender. This as a result of a minor parking lot side swipe in 2007. The cost of the repair was $677. 00 w/documentation. Otherwise. the paint is entirely factory original with a still very nice finish at 30 years of age. (see pic reflections)* Automatic transmission. - speed. it shifts great through all transitions as well as reverse* 2. 0. fuel injected. 4 cylinder engine. at the time HONDA still offered a carburetor version of the Prelude. (2. 0 S) There are NO annoying drips or leaks. Immaculate engine compartment. * Power windows. power mirrors. cruise control & power steering* Power moonroof* EVERY safety and comfort feature is fully operational. * ICE COLD AC* Beautiful interior. I would rate it a 9. 5 out of 10. Perfect dash. NO cracks or warps. perfect headliner. excellent (pin stripe) velour upholstery front & rear. excellent carpets. (original HONDA floor mats) excellent door panels and rear panels* All buttons. switches. knobs and stalks are present* Functional clock w/calendar. working power (lighter) outlet* Upgraded CLARION AM/FM/Cassette. the original working HONDA stereo will be included* HONDA Alloy wheels exclusive to the '86 & '87 Prelude Si. NO curb rash with 4 almost new tires* Llumar window tint* Leather wrapped tilt steering wheel. ex. condition w/no wear. cuts. nicks. etc. * All gaskets are soft & pliable* All gauges & informational displays are fully operational* Documentation of both purchasers with full service history binder. (2 timing belts. one by each owner). Periodical model reviews. roadtests. etc. * All original HONDA keys. owners manual(s) and supplemental pamphlets. * Original jack & tire tool* Recent service with all fresh fluids. filters and a valve gasket replacement* OPTIMA RED TOP batteryAt 30 model years of age. the PRELUDE is in remarkable condition. It is a testament to the benefits of proper care. It looks. runs and drives great! It goes down the road as straight as an arrow. These second generation Preludes are regarded as the best iteration that HONDA manufactured. Fully built in & imported from Japan. They are extremely fuel efficient. nimble and surprisingly quick. Throw in HONDA's reputation for quality and reliability. and they were an instant winner. A great car for a collector. (have you seen HONDA 600 series cars?) student. commuter or anyone seeking an affordable and reliable sporty classic. You are bidding to purchase the Prelude. not to be the first to look at it. I have set a reasonable reserve for the Prelude. it is commensurate with the excellent condition of the car. the comprehensive owners history and the very low miles. DO NOT ask me what the reserve is. as I will not disclose it. Bid what you can afford and are willing to pay for the exemplary condition 1986 HONDA Prelude Si coupe that you see before you. The balance is then due and payable within 5 days thereafter under condition and arrangement made between myself and the buyer. I prefer a legitimate bank to bank wire transfer as it provides a documented record of the transaction for both parties. I will accept cash in person if you intend to fly in and drive home within 5 days.
