Description of 1983 Jaguar XJS V12 HE

This XJS is quite simply one of the best out there. It is a 1983 HE V12, with 115k miles. It is close to perfection cosmetically and mechanincally. It has had a complete restoration, with bare metal respray. The car has ZERO rust. The previous owner put over $40,000 into it over a decade or so, including high quality respray to original stock color,top-end rebuild including new valve seats (a common problem on the V12) and a complete new fuel injection system. It has had all new bushings and suspension components, brakes are in great condition too. It has new original (later) stock 15" wheelsand has had a new GM400 transimssion and new 3:31 ratio rear end. It has a refreshed AC system that works great.I have installed a new power steering pump and hoses, so it is now quiet and smooth, like the rest of the car.The interior is immaculate and everything works. Windows, power mirrors, lights, switches, everything works.Leather is original but has been reconditioned and is beautiful.I returned the center console to stock and installed a new but retro-look USB/CD/MP3 player (the speakers are not great). Most of this restoration work is less than 1000 miles old. I have a STACK of receipts dating back 30+ years. All the restoration work other than the power steering was done by the previous owner, who owned the car since 1992.

I am a car collector with no expense spared attention to detail. I currently have 8 cars, and this one is not enough of a project for me, and I prefer smaller sports cars,so I am letting it go to reclaim some space.
