Description of 1968 Jaguar E-Type

Selling at No Reserve with a starting bid of $1 . High bid wins the car . nbsp; If you don't like the terms please don't bid . Extremely Rare Series 1 Roadster with triple SU's. Also referred to as a Series 1. 5 . This transitional car has the best of both worlds. The lines and smaller bumpers of the Series 1 but improved engine cooling and seats from the Series 2. Unlike the US series 1. 5 cars that had the major downfall of detuned twin Stromberg carbs because of changing US emission standards . this Canadian spec XKE was equipped with the triple carbs of the earlier cars making this arguably one of the rarest LHD North American examples . A 2 owner car . British Columbia Collector plate status. 84. 00 miles. Daily Driven until 2001. then driven periodically on permits every summer until 2013. The paint and interior are presentable but show patina . Glass and chrome are all in excellent condition . there is pitting on the side view mirrors. The car has very nice gaps and is straight. there is some rust on the front portion of outer sills . The dash has a crack . and the spokes on the wheels are showing some rust. The rear window on the soft top is foggy and some rear stitching is separating. There is a parking lot ding on passenger front as well as a small dent on the drives door. The floors and trunk are all solid with no issues. The engine and transmission are original and the car is a good driver. it has not been driven in 2 years so I would suggest emptying the tank to put in some fresh fuel . cleaning the carbs and replacing the clutch hydraulic fluid . I can have my mechanic spend a day getting the car road worthy at buyers expense if they choose. This is an excellent blue chip investment. better than money in the bank. I can assist in shipping to the US or to port in Vancouver. For overseas shipping quotes go to allcargoexpress. com
