Description of 1983 Land Rover Defender

1983 Land Rover V8, T95 manual 4 speed tranny. Salisbury rear, nbsp;locking center differential. Not road-worthy at the moment.. . the frame got too rusty a few (3) years ago, nbsp;and I bought a factory hot-dipped galved TD5 frame from UK, hinking I'll do a frameover and put a TD5 while Im at it.Life got in the way.. And Im moving.. time to give up.
I got the 110 from UK 10 or so years ago, nd it's been in light road and light offorad use until about 3 years ago. The paint is faded.. brakes are spongy, m sure there's a leaky like somewhere. And as far as papers, t's a '63..
Engine starts and runs, ut it has those original Stromberg carbs. The floors are rusted, o is the battery tray and the bulkhead at the footwell. But those are all flat steel panels, nd $100 of heavier plate will be an upgrade.Anyway.. Im pretty much giving it away to a good home.. and the BIN price includes a good running '95 discovery with LT95 and R380 diff, good axles.. AAAND.. you can have the galved TD5 frame for $1500, alf of what it cost me..
Otherwise we'll talk about the frame and the Disco..I also have v8 stroker parts, locks (incl an Olds v8), ven a stroker crank from the 4.2 Australian engine, lready cut for rover block.. 4bbl carbs, anifolds, olley injection, r the whole GEMS engine from the disco.. lifetime of projects .. come and get it!! :)
Note.. the pictures are from when it was first delivered, ice and shiny.. now the paint is faded.. also notice the full galved safari rack. Now it's on RR alloy rims and Grabber MT tires...
In summary.. you *can* patch the chassis and outriggers, nd use it as-is in original trim.. but I'd do a frameover and diesel conversion.. if I had time..
