Description of 1992 Land Rover Range Rover Classic (RRC)

CLEAN, ompletely California rust-free1992 LandRover Range Rover LS Edition. The sixthyear of theClassic in Short Wheelbase ( SWB) configuration which was sold in the U.S for 9 years, tarting in 1987 with the first year of importation, through early 1995.

The 1992 models mark the evolvement of earlier models to standard-production numbers manufactured with an honest-to-goodness Antilock ABS brake system. Aside from that, ll the traditional Range Rover styling and design continued on until 1995 ( the last year of the iconic Classic ) when they were discontinued and the SWB went on to become automotive history.

This SWB is a solid California SWB Classic, esiding here since new when sold new here in Northern California in 1992 until now, here it currentlyresides. AMarin County Rangie since new.

This Range Rover is an LSE model which was only imported to the USA for 1 year in 1992. The County LSE (Luxury Specification Edition in the UK or Light Sandstone edition in the US) was a limited edition of only 400. The LSE was the top of the line model.

The County LSE model cost more than the County and had American Walnut on the shift knob in addition to all the places the County had burl wood. LSE models were painted in either Cornish Cream or Brooklands Green and had the letters LSE on the rear tailgate (they did not have any County badges at all). The seats were "Lightstone" Leather with piping. They had front and rear rock guards and special gunmetal five spoke wheels, ome LSE models had the wheel s chrome plated by the U.S. Dealers. (The U.S. LSE models all had the 100" wheelbase and were different from the County LSE models in Europe that all had the 108" wheelbase)

Completely stock, ndoriginalSWB, ith very low 143.9K original miles. It starts, dles and drives as expected.Just drove it to the Redwoods up north in Humboldt County, nd it drove great.

There isNOrustnor corrosion on this vehicle, s it wouldbe expected from a California-lived RRC ( hard-pressed condition to find in anyClassic beyond the Sierra mountains).BEWARE OF RUST BUCKETS EAST OF THE WEST COAST~!

This SWB comes equipped with all the comforts, tandard features and amenities of its time, long the optional SAFARI PACKAGE: stronger springs, ront brushguard, eadlamp guards, ower HELLA 520 Auxiliary lights, ELLA 500 Fog lights, aillight guards and factory Tow package. Very nice set of HANKOOK radial tires( approximately 90% of tread left) mounted on a nice, lean set offactory original alloy wheels.

NEVER altered or lifted.NO NIGHTMARISH EAS to contend with, nd this SWB Classic has always had a normal coil & strut suspension. NO air-deflation nighmares ever!

Stock 3.9L engine runs EXCELLENT. As it is well documented in all Land rover circles, he 3.9L was a vast improvement over the early 3.5engines as it was more robust and had more torque as a result of engine redesigning to increase displacement to a more efficient, eliable motor.

NO overheating issues, ickingnor any noisesto contend with.143.9K total miles, better than average for any Land Rover ( it may be a few hundred miles off by the time it sells, s I still drive it regularly)

Automatic transmission shifts well into all gears. Low and High transfer cases work fine. Four-wheel Power disc brakes,Power steering, ower windows andPower heated seats, liding sunroofand Power mirrors.

Finish isVERY NICE considering this RRC is nearly twenty five years young ! Itsdesirable Cornish Cream finish ( more of an ivory tone than plain white,in the traditional Land Rover color) still shines surprisingly well for an unrestored Rangie.

There isNO clearcoatflaking or damage to thefinish on the roof, ood or filler panel areas, ommon on many Rovers, pecially East Coast examples where the elements and salted roads have taken their toll on the body panels and undercarriage,a hindrancenearly impossible to repair!

The original Sandstone upholstery is in very good condition and has held upsurprisingly well. There are no cracks or tears on any of the leather in the seats. BOTH front seats are in excellent condition, ith no splits, ears or seam separation ( driver's bottom showed expected wear from age, hus I decided to have them nicely reupholstered).Complete headliner has also been recently refinished and it looks great.

Overall, very clean interior, oor panels, actory carpetingandtrunk area. The photos show the Rangie very clearly. NON SMOKER vehicle.

Solid unrestored 92' Range Rover County Classic. It's a truly solid, ust-freeSWB, ith very goodmiles and the good 3.9L engine. It runs very well with a strong, olid powertrain. Clean chassis, o tweaks and NO rust and still all-original interior. It will make a great traveler, ff-roader or camping Rangie with some minor personal touches.

I've been around Land Rovers for over 30 years, nd have owned various models and vintages. Classics are the best investment for the money, pecially rust-freeSWBs. SERIOUS inquiries ONLY, lease.

Unlike the vast majority of Ebay sellers who simply sell what they do not know ( let alone car dealers!), I actually own a Land Rover ( I own twoLWBs, 2010 Sport and two DIIs) and I am fairly familiar with all their quirks.

Feel free to call me with questions at (650) 430-4660 PST. I have priced this Classic SWB fairly and way below-market to sell, s it is a nice unrestored example of a clean, ust-freeRRC. A minty SWBwould be way over $15K to start. And done on someone else's taste, ot yours.

ThisSWB Classic hasa clear California title and currently registered in CA until the end of August 2016. In addition, t passed its latest stringent CA Emissions test with flying colors.

I am also advertising this vehicle in other venues, and as such, strong>Ireserve the right to end this listing at any time, hould a serious offer or a BUY-IT-NOW opportunity present itself.

Range Rover Classics are getting harder and harderto find, pecially in original, naltered condition and in SWB configuration. They are nearly impossible to find without them being all rusted out, r having to pay a premium for a clean example.

I shall be glad to assist coordinating shipping of this Range Rover anywhere nationwide or overseas, t the most economical shipping rate available. Please be aware, do not control pick up or delivery times should you purchase it; that is pending weather conditions and shipping/ trucking delivery schedules.

Of note: Do not calculate shipping cost based on the Ebay calculator. Shipping to just about anywhere on the East coast is less than $1000. Other parts of the U.S closer to California are considerably less, f course.

I will do everything I can on my end to ensure and expedite delivery at the most financially sensible rate on the market.

Should you be the winning bidder, would like t receive payment within THREE business days, lease. Payment can be made via cashier's check or certified funds. Personal, usiness or annuity checks may be utilized, ut must clear funds first, rior to any transportation arrangements being made. If you have questions or would like to discuss other payment arrangements, e sure to contact me prior to placing a bid, lease.

An alternate method of payment can be done via bank wire transfer to my local CHASE Bank branch here in town. It is a very simple process, nd it helps expedite delivery of the car. Upon receipt of payment, will mail you the CA title and a Bill of sale to the car.

Feel free to EM or call me with questions or serious inquiries, o later than 9 pm PST, lease. Thank you all for your interest!
